G01 1 MAYIS 2023 PAZARTESİ Yine yeni yeniden yollardayız…özlemişim bu tür uzun boylu seyahatleri…Sabah 7:00’ye kurduk saati… Bir kahve molası ve valizler dün geceden beri hazır olduğundan, saat 07:30 da taksimiz bizi ,evden 4 dakika mesafede olan Yeni Bodrum limanına bıraktı… Çıkarken yine sıkıntılar yaşadık … Söylemesi ayıp bendenizin “Yunanistan oturma” iznim var .. Fakat sevgili Yunanlı kardeşlerim bu oturma iznini geçen yıl Ekimde yenilemeleri gerekirken, nedense bir türlü yenileme başarısını gösteremiyorlar … Bu yüzden ,tüm vergileri ve harçları yatırılmış ve avukatım sevgili Voulgaris tarafından yakından izlenen “proses” nasılsa yerine getirilemiyor … Bu nedenle, Türk yetkililer, Yunanca yazılmış ve iznimi yenisini verene kadar yenilediklerini belirten belgeye egzotik bir meyve diye bakıyorlar eviriyorlar çe... read more

October 13 – 16, 2022 The next stop on our few days away from Marmaris where Tsamaya is quietly waiting for our return was the city of Izmir. In actual fact, it was definitely not high at all on our list of places to visit in Turkey. It really wasn’t on the list at all, but we wound up adding it to our itinerary due to the bus schedules! Yes, we first thought we’d just go to Pamakkale and Bodrum before returning to Marmaris, but in trying to get from Bodrum to Marmaris, it wasn’t such an easy task by bus. As mentioned in the last blog we decided to take a few days to do some land travel in Turkey. The night before we were scheduled to leave Bob decided to pour some water in the bilge to clean it out. This should have been just a quick thing to do, but the bilge alarm went off and stayed on! Yikes, something else. Bob was now having to figure out the problem and in the end he decided to put in a whole new unit. Always good to have spares onboard for situations like this as it was 7:30pm so no shops would be open and we have to leave at 8:30 AM the next morning to catch the bus. We made it back to Marmaris after a “little” delay on our Easy Jet flight from Gatwick airport. It was scheduled to leave at 3:30PM but we had gotten a message on our phone that it was postponed for 1 ½ hours. That wasn’t too bad and they notified us about 1:30 pm so we decided to take time to have a combination lunch/dinner at the airport. They actually don’t provide you with the actual gate that you need to go to until close to the time of departure. We were told by one of the staff that we should probably start to go through security about an hour before our flight as they would then have the gate assigned. The end of three relaxing and summery days in Dalyan. Well, they were relaxing for all but one of us - I’m so amused by Beeb’s interpretation of her forced bathroom incarceration that I can’t let it pass. She got stuck in a bathroom at a restaurant…it was very traumatic, pliers were involved in the rescue, there were tears etc etc, but every time she brings it up (which is a LOT, even more than the vomiting on the plane), she refers to it as the bathroom pubicle and I fall about the place laughing. Mother of the year. Other than the pubicle incident, our time here has been amazing.
