Where it is necessary to use Malaria prevention medication is a contraversial subject. Some say only use it when travelling in Africa.
I would check the WHO (World Health Organisation) site and also contact a travel medicine clinic and then make up your own mind afterwards with the information you get to help.

Reply to this Please don't take this as medical advice, but I though that the risk of malaria is low throughout the country. Supposedly the peak season is June-July. If you are only in Gaziantep for a few days, and are staying in a built-up area, it is not likely you will face any problems. It depends on how cautious you want to be.
