Anyone know Turkey?

What way should we travel the country?
13 years ago, April 6th 2011 No: 1 Msg: #133098
Ok, I can get flights from Ireland to Istanbul for €350 and from Ireland to Bodrum for €272. My early ideas for traveling the country are to see Istanbul, the west coast and Cappadocia. So far I have found car rental a bit expensive and if we fly into Bodrum I would like to explore the west coast by car. Flights internally seem cheap enough though. I would also like to rent a Villa in Bodrum while we explore.

So my questions I suppose are: Does anyone know a website, or way, to get cheap car rental and good value Villa rentals? Anyone have any experience in what I want to do? Reply to this

You can rent the car in the airport while you get there, and try to bargain. I think this would be the cheapest way. About the villa, you can check <snip> they have english website but i'm not sure if they are the best one. Try to check with as many websites as you can. And i don't know for how long you are planning to travel but Istanbul and Cappadocia are must see places. Than you can end your vacancy in Bodrum while relaxing.
I hope you'll have great time there. Don't hesitate to ask me any questions you may have about Turkey.

Hi,

You can research online for the car rental.
We took the car from " Proper car rental ".

In Bodrum, there is this place called " Macakizi hotel " ( the most expensive place in Bodrum ).

We stayed in a house in " Yalikavak " run by an american.

I believe you want to drive to Izmir-Cesme-Kusadasi-Bodrum-Mamaris. You can always negotiate for the car rental.

Have a great time. Reply to this

Hi, I can recommend you to visit the website of Arpanu Travel. This company can offer you all you need - hotel accommodation, airport transportation, as well as private tours and rent-a-car. I often travel to Turkey and I use their services often. Reply to this

Hi there,

My wife and I will be spending just three days in Istanbul this June and I was wondering what your opinion is concerning street food there. I know it will be delicious but is is safe?

If you're going to visit Turkey, I would definetely recommend places like İzmir, Antalya, Bodrum which are located at the west and south coast of Turkey. June or September is the best month to visit. Reply to this
