You know the nightclub is going to be a corker when the lady taking the money at the door is about 90 years old. I've been in the UK for a week's lightning stopover, visiting my wonderful and completely bonkers family members. After leaving Beijing, I had a marathon 24-hour, plan-bus-plane-bus combo to get me here to deepest, darkest Birmingham, where I was born those 28 years ago. I stayed for a few days with my Nanny Griffith, who is the most energetic and friendly grandma a lad could hope to have, and then a cople of days with my other Nan, who is equally at home drinking beers with the youngsters or knitting by the firesde. Wednesdays LOW: Cannibalism class. Wednesdays HIGH: The beautiful weather. Thursdays LOW: Gagging over the horrible fridge smell and the video. Thursdays HIGH: Just hanging out with everyone. Fridays LOW: Stressing about $$. Fridays HIGH: A relaxing evening. So, on Wednesday I got up for my 9am after a few hours of sleep and grabbed some breakfast on the way to class. After class I went to the book shop to look for a book for my business class, but it wasnt in so that didnt work. I felt suprisingly awake, and the weather was UNBELIEVABLE so I went to the lib to watch Malcolm X but it was great bc it was the first movie that weve had to watch thats been on dvd. Fridays LOW: Spending so much money on the train ticket and just general money thinking. Fridays HIGH: The card fight. Saturdays LOW: Not having too much to do in general. Saturdays HIGH: Reading Olivias message and thinkig about how much fun were gonna have when she gets here!! On Thursday I got up and went to my Business class, which was decent.
