I am glad you have found this lovely blog, all being well I will use it to keep you all updated over the next few months. Speak to you soon, Tasha... read more

Went shopping today in Milton Keynes, it was cool. Also went to this school (which apparently has a pretty rough reputation) with my uncle and had to join in his presentation about careers and jobs and interviews, which was scary but also cool. (Weird being back in a school too, some of those kids were so tiny). Then this evening walked to the local Tesco to attend a rally about the 'Living Wage' and actually came quite close to getting in trouble with the cops without realising. All in all it has been good :) Quite enjoying the city after spending the last wee while in the English countryside. Activities included drinks at the pub, picnics on hills, church fairs, tennis games, playing Risk, rain, watching Bambi with my little cousin (twice!) and eating lots of ... read more

Milton Keynes - refered to as MK by all locals, is a large town in Buckinghamshire, in the south east of England, about 60 miles (97 km) north-west of London. It is also the principal town of the Borough of Milton Keynes; it is also the capital of the Borough of Milton Keynes. -so it says on google. I had to research about the place before I traveled as I'd never heard of it till a friend of mine, Sharon, got a job offer here and I obviously traveled to MK to spend time with her while I was in UK. MK is the perfect blend of the countryside with its serene peaceful green expanse and modernization with a mind-boggling mix of malls, theatres, pubs and clubs. I traveled from London to MK via the National ... read more

Dom and I were today destined for Spa-Francorchamps for the epic 24 Hour endurance race. While our plans have slightly changed and we're instead heading off in the early hours of Saturday morning (for a lunchtime arrival, with the race starting at 04:00pm), the excitement to see the famous circuit in the flesh hasn't. I've also been told by many, many people of the need to sample to iconic Belgian waffles and local beer while I'm there. I've had a solid week of fitness training, so why not! I hope to catch up with Stephane Ortelli - who is competing in a Porsche RSR at the race - who I haven't seen since 1996 when we lived together in the UK for a few months. My sister Chelsea and I (despite being 3 and 6 respectively) ... read more

It sure has been a busy couple of days here in the UK! Since my last entry, Dominic and I joined A1GP Team New Zealand driver Earl Bamber in catching up with Colin Giltrap and a number of influential businessman at a casual evening in London on Monday night. This gave me a great opportunity to mix with friendly, but powerful people, and more importantly the 'casual' aspect allowed me to feel relaxed and comfortable in the setting and really make some headway in preparation for next year. As a result, a number of meetings, invites to private functions and introductions to more like-minded business people have been offered and taken up. Ahhh, the power of networking! It was also great to catch up with Earl, who I haven't seen since the start of the year ... read more

Three weeks ago I left New Zealand on a tour of Europe to pursue the next step in my motor racing career. It's gone by in a flash, and now I'm just a week from boarding the big silver bird to make the return journey, but there's still a whole lot to look forward to in the coming week! Dom and I have spent the last three days at Donington where he had his debut in British Formula 3 - an extremely tough championship - and with his family all eagerly awaiting updated back in NZ, I took a new role for the weekend - photographer. Armed with the wicked Sony camera Dean Cockerton lent me for my trip, I explored every possible angle of the Donington National Circuit and snapped away as Dom tested, qualified ... read more

I've made it to London in one piece, taking the Eurostair train through the Chunnel underneath the ocean and into England on Monday evening. It was a bit of a let down to be honest. I had myself so excited about going in an underwater train (that's the reason I didn't fly in the first place) and wasn't really aware that I'd just be in a dark tunnel for 15 minutes and emerge in another country! Even so, it was nice to see a kiwi face waiting for me when I got out of Customs. I'm staying with Dominic Storey - a fellow kiwi, good friend and driver from back home who is living up here in Milton Keynes competing in single seaters this year. This place is great. Not only is it motorsport central (Brendon ... read more

Hello everyone I have come back home a few days early as the humidity was beginning to get to me and 4 weeks of bad hair days is enough for anyone ! Also there has been a family problem. So am formulating my thoughts and feelings about India while sorting out my house and reacquainting myself with the joys of cooking and cleaning - nearly forgot how to do any of it it's been so long! This Indian experience has made me realise that I don't like dirt and I am easliy irritated by persistence of hawkers. I have seen some beautiful places , learned about Hinduism, met some great people but feel great sadness that although India is racing ahead technologically the basic problems are still the same. The streets and rubbish seem to me ... read more
