Poza rakami, Szwedzi lubia tez jesc losie.

This past weekend I found myself being whisked off to Sweden! Bright and early Saturday morning I was at Frue Plads ready to enjoy the Swedish wilderness. We started by driving to Helsingør, Danmark and taking the wicked fast ferry over to Helsingborg, Sweden. From there we bussed to a small river. There we decided that despite the drizzle, cool winds, and lack of sun that it would be a great idea to canoe upriver for three hours. It actually turned out to be better because it stopped drizzling five minutes in....but....if you want to turn your arms into jelly: canoe upstream into the wind for three hours and make sure you don't know how to steer so you zigzag most of the way there. Fool proof plan. Next, we headed for our hostel which was ... read more

So Jamie has been doing a lot of work on this blog and I thought I would take some time off of her hands :) Plus Shana and I got the experience to go to the symphony in Helsingborg, Sweden along with the Louisiana Art Museum in Denmark. What a day it was! Then the next day it was up to the top of the windmill - our clothes got a little dirty but it was very worth the climb - Enjoy the pictures - we are :) Beth... read more

My biggest fear is the Malaria! and then the fact that they use a hole in the ground as toilett. :/ and that hole lives scorpions, spiders and mosquitos! And then theres the worms in the sand, and the germs in the water and.............. Oh my God im gonna DIE!!!!! Um yeah, I will write more next time! Take care! Kram kram /J... read more

Life in a van, life in a camperrrrrvan, la le la…..sounds like a song! (Or we have been on the bottle again). Well it has now been 6 weeks living in the van and we have become real campervan people…now to be known as (alias) Fred and Dora Brown. Not sure if that is a good thing or not. Anyway be that as it may we are having an absolute ball with the freedom that this lifestyle presents. We started out planning at least 3 days ahead, this became 1 day and now well we decide when we wake up if we should move on or not! Although please do not get us wrong we have a rough idea of where we are heading, of sorts. Vikings, Volvos, blondes, Abba and Ikea, yes this is Sweden ... read more

We took the night ferry from Helsingor, Denmark to Helsingborg, Sweden. This was a result of all rooms beig sold out in Helsingor. One of the downfalls of traveling without a plan is not having a hotel waiting for you. We have continued to have problems locating hotels in Denmark. It seems that the whole country is having conventions. The only site we took in before getting on the train to Olso was the Helsinborg Slott. We will be coming back to Sweden once we explore Norway.... read more
