Travelling & Working in Sweden

Hello All,

I am planning to go to Sweden in June 2009 for 1 year on a working holiday visa.
I was just wondering if there were any Aussies (or non Aussies) here that have been to Sweden on a working visa recently, if they could share their experiences, recommendations etc etc.
Was it hard to receive a working visa?
Is it hard to get a job over there?
I will be staying in Helsingborg where my boyfriend lives, so i have no problem with accommodation, its just i would like to holiday there for a few months, but then to continue staying there for the full year, i would need keep my funds coming in, which means i would need to find work there.
Im also starting a Swedish language course in February that runs for 9 weeks, will this give me an advantage in getting a job over there?

If anyone can provide any information on the above, and maybe some stuff i havent mentioned that you think i should need to know and is relevant, it would be greatly appreciated 😊

Unfortunately, there isnt always someone available to answer the particular questions asked. Hopefully somebody will come along who can answer your questions. In the meantime you could check out blogs about Sweden by members of this site. There might even be one that answers your questions.
