Once when I was living in Stockholm and didn´t want to prepare Christmas, I tried to go out to eat. All the restaurants were closed. The big hotels are the only chance, I believe. But, there might be a fantastic place for you, only 20 minutes from the city centre: Grand Hotel Saltsjöbaden. It is a beautiful hotel and a beautiful place. It is probably even more difficult on Christmas Eve, the biggest holiday in Sweden. But the days before Christmas there are many "Julbord" served at different price levels.
