Today was a day of tunnels and tolls. Lots of both. And bridges. After a very very hot night and a very very nice breakfast we went to see if Jason was still where we'd left him (after seeing the Italian cops towing cars galore last night I was a bit scared we'd have to begin a hunt to find him.) Fortunately he was still there so off we set. Through the most complicated motorway entrance so far. I'm not sure why we needed to do five hairpin bends and four different roads to get through a toll we could see from where we stared but I'm sure there was a reason somewhere.....For at least two hundred of the three twenty km we travelled today we were either in a tunnel or on a bridge. Jet lag and sleep deprivation waning, my next plan was to complete 2 major sights in one day, the Coliseum and Vatican museum. Roberta did a fabulous job of taking me around her city the night before (including many piazza, the Pantheon (a temple with an open dome), Trevi fountain, Spanish steps). Having booked my queue skipping tickets for the 2 sights online, I set off from Roberta’s chic abode after a strong espresso. We bid ‘arrivederci’ and she sped off on her moped to work, stylish and calm amongst the chaos that is Rome traffic! Geo: 43.8745, 10.2569 GÜN 17 günlerden hala Cumartesi Montecatini dönüşü, Viareggio ya sahilden dönmeye karar verdik. Allahtan öyle bir karar almışız. Güzelim sahilde, az hızla gezerken, Ayşe çok güzel bir bar gördü. Önüne park ettik ve barın "Happy Hour" unu yakaladık. Barın adı "Fanatiko" tam bize göre bir yer. Bar muhabbetinden sonra, ben keşfe çıktım. Tam düşündüğüm gibi .....bir sürü pahalı marka butiği menemen testisi gibi yan yana dizmişler... Fiyatlar yuva söndüren modunda... Oralarda Casablanca diye bir restoran gördüm. Aslında ne alaka ? Ama emin olmak için içeri girip ortalığı kolaçan ettim. En son girdiğim Casablanca, Amerika da Epcot Orlando da idi. Geo: 43.8745, 10.2569 GÜN 15 Günlerden Perşembe Pisa'dan sonra çok rahat bir yolculukla Viareggio ya vardık . Hatta yol üzerinde bir Mc Donalds a uğrayıp şehre girmeden gırtlak işimizi de hallettik. Kampımız çok güzel ve bizden başka turist yok . Çok baba bir yere yerleştik.Herşeyden önemlisi güneş var ))) Yıkandık ...keyiflendik...akşam üstü içkilerimizi hazırladık . meraklısına adres : http://www.campinglapineta.com/ Ben idareye uğrayıp gideceğimiz lokantaya ilişkin bilgilendim. Şahbaz'a atladık ve şehre gittik. Şehir yaklaşık 2 km mesafede . Uygun bir park yeri bulduk ve lokantayı aramaya başladık. Tavsiye edilen "Da Miro" lokantası tam marinanın karşısında yer alıyor. Sunday...a true ‘day of rest’ over here. Almost all shops are shut and streets are deserted so it was an ideal day to travel across Italy to Florence. We decided the other day to skip Rome during this trip and fly there from England instead as we’re a bit short of time. We drove from Venice through Bologna - this looked like a really nice city with great architecture. We had a drive around the city and stopped at a park for lunch. We took a few photos and moved on down to Florence. When we got to Florence we did the same - drove around the city, decided it looked a bit ‘city-like’ for us, i.e. big and full of concrete buildings, so left and drove up the coast to stay at a camping ground ... read more
