Well, we only went to Toronto over the summer. Nothing to blog about there, besides it was summer holidays so the kids did not have to keep up with their reading and writing. We will be going to Florida in March, so we will probably start this up again at that time.... read more

May 5th 2008

Yesterday was a sea day. We slept in, then went for a soak in the hot tub. Liam and Ty played in the regular pool, but it was too cold for Bill and I. But Bill did come in the hot tub with me even though he whined about the wind on deck. We went to the dining room for lunch as they were having a grand buffet brunch in there. It was good, even though Ty could not find much to eat. The kids went to the kids club in the afternoon and Bill and I just hung around. We went for dinner in the dining room and it was good as always and then the adults hit the shops while the kids were in Adventure Ocean. I bought a chain for my new cartouche ... read more

May 4th 2008

So, on May 2 we had a sea day. Did not do too much all day. I went to see a movie in the afternoon (Micheal Clayton). Liam climbed the rock wall a couple of times, and I did it once. It was a formal night so we got dressed up for dinner. I will bring home pictures, cause we all looked great. We had an early night because we were going to Egypt the next morning. We ended up getting up ½ hour late in the morning. I had set my alarm, but on my new watch you can set it for Alldays, Weekdays, or Weekends. I had it accidentally set for Weekdays and the 3rd was a Weekend. This cause a bit more of a rush in the morning than I like, but we ... read more

Hi everybody. Yesterday we were in Egypt. We took a two hour bus ride to get to the Pyramids of Giza. Everyone was trying to give us free stuff, but after they gave it to us they were asking for money. They called this Baksheesh, kinda like a tip. We took some pictures then we got back on the bus and went to the Sphinx of Giza. We got back on the bus and went to the desert for a jeep ride. I wanted to drive, but we weren’t allowed to. It took about a half an hour then we got out of the jeep and went to the camels. It took us about 45 minutes riding a camel. Me and Dad’s camel was called Columbus, Mom and Ty’s camel was called Telephone. I really liked ... read more

Hi everyone. How is it going? I hope you are having a good time. We went to a water park in Cyprus and it was very fun. There was this big can of water and every time it filled up it did 8 rings and then dumped. I got drenched and I found a friend. He was fun. I found him on a slide, we bumped into each other. In Egypt we went to see the pyramids. They were big and after we saw the pyramids we went and saw the sphinx. It was big too. When I looked into the sphinx’s front paws I saw a stone tablet. It was about as tall as my mom and as wide as a car. When we left I was very tired and we watched TV, had room ... read more

May 2nd 2008

Yesterday we did manage to get to a water park. Bill and Wayne did not join us, because they had been up late gambling and drinking the night before and were too tired. So, it was just the girls and the kids. We were a little unsure about the currency in Cyprus, as I don’t think they have totally thrown away their old currency in favour of the Euro. I had nothing to fear, the taxi’s and the water park both gave me prices in Euros right away. I even paid the admission to the park by Visa. The morning was beautiful. The sun was out and it was quite warm with a bit of a wind. The kids had a great time. It is an awesome waterpark. There is a wave pool, and several slides, ... read more

Yesterday we were in Rhodes, Greece. I stayed at Adventure Ocean till about noon. In town we wanted to go see the Palace of the Grand Masters, but it was closed because of recent damage. Mom got us ice cream for lunch, then we wandered around town for about one hour and a half. On our way back to the cruise ship we stopped and had a gyro. A gyro is a pita wrapped around chicken, onions and tomato. It was very good. We sat down in a square where I dropped some of my gyro. All the pigeons came flying to my chicken that fell. The first one who got there started to follow us back to the ship when we left. Last night we did rock and roll night. We played freeze dance, where ... read more

April 30th 2008

Yesterday we arrived in Kusadasi Turkey. We had a guided tour of the ancient city of Ephesus, which was the first city to have a running water system. The tour was all walking downhill, we have taken many pictures of everything! Our driver dropped us off at the top, and picked us up some two hours later, the design of the city was very cool. We also visited the temple of Artemis, which is one of the seven ancient wonders of the world, now just one standing column and a big pile of marble pieces. Now onto another day, after a slow (14 knot cruise) through the Greek archipelago we have docked on the island of Rhodes, a small but beautiful island, as the ship docked this morning the rain started to fall, heavy at times, ... read more
