Brisbane City Musings from several city trips. I have one day a week without the older girls, so it is just me and the baby cruising the city!! NEW FARM FARMERS MARKETS 2nd and 4th Saturday each month at the Powerhouse from 6am-11am After a terrible week with the baby waking during the night my husband offers "Would you like to sleep in on Saturday and I will get up with the kids and cook pancakes?" I hear a noise..... I check on my daughter..... Nothing......Back to bed..... I nod off to sleep.... suddenly my husband jumps out of bed..... He heard a noise and goes out to investigate...... Southbank Random thoughts from many trips to Southbank What to do when your 3 year old wakes up at 6:30am and asks "when are we going swimming mummy?" You head to Southbank of course. Did someone say "A beach in the city?" Yes... Brisbane is lucky enough to have a man made beach near the Centre of Brisbane and our family loves it!! On Saturday Night we attended a wedding aboard the Kookaburra River Queen paddle boat. There are two boats - one 3 levels, one 2 levels. The boats have been around since 1986 and 1988 offering trips up and down the Brisbane River for lunch or dinner and for functions and parties. We were on the smaller one, but had the whole boat just for the wedding reception. It was a wonderful evening. Enjoyable, Intimate and lots of fun. There were about 60 people, so a nice little group.
