I thought I would check yours out as well. . . . great pics! Your kiddos are adorable. As we are teachers and have had some or students reading our slightly personal blogs, we might move it. However, I will be sure to invite you if we ever get around to it. TravelBlog is pretty cool.

I've done that trip!
3 years ago I did the same, though I was going from New Zealand so I had 3 hours more travel each way on top of that. :) Wasn't that hotel great? Did they put you in a different one one the way back, right in the city? Some Australians and I drank all the minibar Asahi beer and got more from the reception desk and it all cost me a whopping US$2. ha ha... I wish I had more time there too, was an interesting place!

We miss that!!
We actually have a roast dinner in the oven as we speak and are celebrating Australia Day on our Monday with some friends coming over. Wish we could have gone to the beach with you guys!!

Today we have -28 C with wind chill to -40 C Your beach party is a great contrast to our temporary arctic intrusion. Temporary because in March sprinf may come. And reall it doesn't usuall stay this cold too long. Enjoyed your text and pictures.

Avoid Kookaburra River Queen ruined 30th Birthday Party!!
Avoid Kookaburra River Queen at all costs, I planned and book weeks in advance to celebrate a 30th Birthday Party on the Kookaburra Queen, only hours before the cruise I received a phone call to say the cruise was cancelled due to lack of numbers. When making a booking over the phone I was not advised that a cruise can be cancelled due to lack of numbers, I can understand mechanical problems or weather conditions. Cancelling the cruise ruin the birthday celebration and romantic night. So you plan to celebrate something special DO NOT do it on the Kookaburra Queen.
