Another 14 hour bus trip and we were in Melbourne. Took us a while and a few arguments to figure out were we were gunna go to find a hostel but eventually after not paying for a tram we headed off and found one. Slept for a few hours before heading out to find food. Was a quite night in sat in the TV room catching up on some phone calls. We had an eventful 14 hour bus ride down to Sydney. 1 hour into it we dropped some guy off but he fell and knocked himself out on the curb, ended up right under the buses wheels!! He was ok though. Anyway we got to Sydney absolutely knackered so headed straight to the nearest hostel. What a dump, most expensive place we've stayed but looked like a prison cell. Well what can i say other than this is possibly the greatest place on the planet! We wern't to sure about noosa as we hadnt heard much about it other then there wasn't much there, especially a screen to watch the football. Unlucky for steve as it was the big liverpool man u game that night. However we had to stop there to do Steve Irwins zoo. Luckily we choose a decent hostel and managed to convince the bar staff to leave the tv on fox sports till the morning so we could catch the game. ill apologise now for last nights terrible entry about Rockhapton,we were both steaming, so it didnt really do it justice! We left Rockhampton really early due to the bush fires and made our way south to Agnes water which is a small surfers town. So we headed down to rockhapton, the beef capitol of australia, unfortunatly no beef was eaten here as everywhere was shut when we walked through town. We saw about a million jellyfish though on the bridge which put steve off swimming even more then before!! Luckily we were only using here as a pit stop for our farmstay. We got an early morning transfer from the hosle and headed on an hour n half drive to the outback. When we got there we got kitted out for the horse riding then met our horses. So we are now in airlie beach which is somewhere between brisbane and cairns. We checked into our hostel and cooked up a steak for our first night, had a few drinks and watched the simpson movie! Had a little wonder round the next day to see what there is to do round here, and theres nothing! Theres a nice lagoon instead of a beach so we chilled out there for the day. We got the bus into townsville and jumped on a ferry across to magnetic island. We had already booked to stay in a place called Bungalow bay kuala village. So we found the only bus on the island and headed there. It was really nice but full of insects, this tends to be the case when it is a bungalow in the middle of a rainforest! After 4 days in Cairns we headed down south to mission beach,which is where all the travellers go to skydive,we were well up for this...not!because of this there was not a great deal else to do other than sit on a beach of pure white sand in 30 degree heat!We did make it to mint cafe which we were told is one of the best over here,we wernt dissapointed.We spent a couple of days here then did 1 down to Townsville! So after a flight fom singapore via Darwin we finally arrived in Cairns!Ill be honest the first day here was spent knockin out some Zzzz's and not much else.The following morning and we were off into town checking out the facilities,which consisted of a sitting by a massive pool near the sea,as there is no beach here,and drinking beer!We also went in search of the best deals to the great barrier reef!
