Where Do I begin... There is so much to get caught up on..After staying in Milan for only two nights, we got on a train towards treviso, Italy, where I had family we would be staying with. After a few hours of connecting trains, we made it. Once we arrived at their house, we enjoyed a nice big plate of pasta- for the first time on the trip, we both knew we wouldn't be hungry. Soup, followed by pasta or another main dish, with wine and cheese and coffee almost everyday- we felt like royalty. While staying at my zia pinna's and zio Angelo's, we got to catch up on sleep and get the rest we needed to fight off our colds. Day 1 Hurry up and wait. We catch up with our hero on the flying automobile. I cant be sure but it seems to be part bird, part machine, but mostly magic. The men with beards seem to trust it, and it's always easy to trust a man with a beard. Will our hero do the same? Only time will tell. Excitement and anxiousness bubble from within, dying to take over his thoughts and expressions. But our hero cannot let it show, he is a man now willing to give his money to anyone willing to take it. So he waits. Nice was not as much of a party as Barcelona, but we had a great time regardless. Our first full day in Nice we decided to get lost. We walked along the main strip for quite some time, until we got sick walking by stores. We decided to climb up a small mountain in search of adventure. After too many stairs, we reached the top, which ended up having three museums at the top,as well as a park with vegetable gardens. We had the best view of the whole city( watch the video on Facebook to judge for yourself), which was well worth the grueling walk. My stay in Barcelona was short but packed full of activity. Everyday was spent walking around down, discovering something new. We frequently walked along the coast and stopped by the port to watch the boats in the water. We have met tones of new people at our hostel. Every evening was spent in the lobby or on the town drinking and relaxing. We would also adventure together- a bunch of us had walked through the gothic quarter and went into Picasso's art museum. It was so interesting to see the progression of his art from early teen years to later in life and the way he is able to manipulate colors to portray emotion. Hello everyone! You would all be pleased to know Justyn and I are safe and sound in Barcelona. The first day of travel was a tiring one.. After a 7 hour flight then a 6 hour layover, waiting around takes a lot out of you. At least we were able to catch up on some sleep. Our flight to Spain from London only took an hour, and we passed through customs with no issues. We were a little unsure which bus was the one we needed to get to our hostel, so we went with our guts and got on one. Turns out it was the right bus.. Only 5 more days... I cant believe it! The final stretch of high school has been getting harder by the day, i am just so eager to leave! I have two exams to write this week and my life of as a high school student will finally be over. Justyn and I have been getting organized.. figuring out who is bringing what and arranging rides to and from the airport. This is my first offical blog post! Justyn and I have offically booked our flight, for the 27th of January, at 7:55 pm out of Toronto. We will be arriving in London at 8 A.M. We then have a few hours of waiting around until we catch our next flight at 3pm, heading to Barcelona Spain. That is where we will begin our journey- and meet up with Justyns cousin! The date is quickely approaching.. just about a month of waiting. I could not be anymore ready to get out of high school. Christmas is upon us, and will hopefully recieve some practical travelling gifts.
