Im back on the kohsan road again in busstling bangkok, met up with jackie wayne and rob. local buses....yay!!!!...........i am being sarcastic by the way, we were crammed as usual and had one flat tyre on the way. We arrived in dalat gateway to the central highlands. Not really much going on here, i am starting to think we are the only tourists about however there are good pork rolls and fresh spring rolls here. we were loured here by the fact its a fruit and vege growing region so was looking forward to trying out all the new weird stuff, unfortinutley after 2 days of searching there were no advacados much to jackies dissapointment. oh my god this place is crazy, ive never seen so many motorbikes coming at you in every direction possible all in one go, crossing the road is like being in a computer game, you just have to scuttle through the traffic with no sudden movements!!! Met up with jackie,wayne,jade and hanah, the shrimps are back on tour!!! food here is great we ate snails from a little stand on the street and drank 30p beer...always a good start. we went to a wartime museum and saw the big tanks, fighter plains and wartime photos which was all very interesting. ... read more

After a 3 hour flight from darwin on the tinyest plane we arrived in broome. Hannah full of flu and me with some sort of weird rash on my arm looking like id been taken over by aliens! We were picked up by our new boss ned and taken to the offie to get a crate of beer...good start!!! Leopold Downs is the name of our new home its about 3.5 hours away from broome and the nearest town fitzroy crossing is about an hour away. I have since discovered fitzroy is tiny with a few grocery stores, petrol station, and ofcourse a pub...i am wondering why its even on the map! leopold is owned by aboriginals..the bunaba people and is set on 1.2 million acres of the kimberleys, there are about 10000 head of cattle ... read more

These cowboys they love there rodeos out here, crazy loonaticks!!! stoney took hannah and i to derby ...(yes i said derby there is one here too you know( to camp out in our swags for 3 days. The night we arrived friday night and went straight to the pub there was a live band on and we met all the guys who worked on the other stations, had a real laugh and rolled in at god knows what time. The next day watched the camp draughting competition and barrel racing, spent the night drinking with hannah stoney and rob at some sort of peter kay disco, it was all v amuzing dancing to right said fred and the wmca!
