We drove back to aukland through napier, rotorua and the bay of plenty. Jade and i being big kids decided to do something called zorbing, basically you get into a giant hamster ball and a bucket of water is chucked in there with you and you roll down a hugh hill! its so funny i laughed my head off all the way, all you could hear was us screaming being tossed around and getting compleatly drenched.... read more

As we headed back up the west coast we reached the fox and st francis glaciers. We took a helicopter flight over the gaciers to get a birds eye view and actually landed on top of the mountains in the snow. hannah did a hike through the ice but me and jade were being too lazy as it was uphill so didnt do that bit. It was really cool flying over all the snow, you can see where the ice has water in it and its bright blue, it really is like off superman. ... read more

Oceania » New Zealand » South Island » Milford Sound March 5th 2007

Driving through the lush forests of fjordland was great. We took a boat trip on the milford sound to see its spectacular scenary and it was beautiful. We saw the resident seals on the rocks and took time to look at the rock formations. It was abit of a wet trip so we put our raincoats on as they dip you under the water falls (we actually stayed inside the boat as knew living in a campervan equals no hot showers after) did you know that if you cut a starfish through it middle and throw it back in the water it will make more star fish, yes thats right they grow back! if you chop only its leg off it will unfortinutly die as it will realise it doesnt have a stomach anymore...just incase you ... read more

We arrived here and had a mooch around the city to find out that the dog and horse racing were free that night so off we went, won a few and lost a few and only spent a few dollas barging great day out in all. Its started to rain alot on the 2nd day so we opted to go to the swimming baths and take full advantage of the whirl pools, spas and steam room, came out looking all new and clean (after 4 days of living in a car park with a freezing cold shower by the sea it was a deffinate luxury). We went to a show which was on at the theater called the shape of things which was highly entertaining, agian another great night! The 3rd day jade and I went ... read more
