Both flights went very smoothly and we arrived in Brisbane at 6.45am (local time) safe and sound. Singapore Air is really the best airline with great onboard entertainment, comfortable seats an reasonable food. We were picked up at the airport and taken directly to the school. The weather is fine with the temperature ranging from 13 to 18 degrees celsius. The host families came to collect the students and the rest of the day has been spent settling in with the host family.... read more

Clear blue skies to start the day with so we headed off to the London Eye. From there we walked over the Thames to Trafalgar Square and a short visit to the National Gallery. From there it was off to Covent Garden for lunch and a bit of shopping. The rest of the day was spent enjoying the sight and sounds of the carnival. In the evening we enjoyed dinner in La Bella Italia restaurant - the students' first experience of the Godfather dessert. ... read more

The flight went very smoothly and most of the students seemed to sleep quite well. I wish I could say the same for me but as always I spent most of the flight wide awake and uncomfortable. I really do hate flying!! When we got to London we were greeted by very misty weather. The heatwave they have been having in England was over and the forecast was very heavy showers. Luckily the weather forecasters got it wrong and we survived the day without getting wet. In fact the afternoon was beautiful, about 25 degrees and very sunny. From Heathrow airport we caught the tube to the hostel, left our luggage in the store room and then walked to Tower Bridge, where we had a traditional English breakfast. Then we went to Borough Market, a sensational ... read more

So, after months of planning we're now down to the final 24 hours. Have been watching the tennis from Wimbledon on TV and have been amazed by the beautiful blue skies and hot weather. But will it last? Just had a look at the BBC weather site and this is what I found: Outlook for Thursday to Saturday: Hot and sunny again on Thursday, but heavy showers and thunderstorms breaking out later. Further showers on Friday, then brighter and fresher on Saturday with a scattering of showers. Ummmm, why does it always rain on me? : ... read more

We spent the last evening in Paris wandering along the Seine and watching the firework display by the Eiffel Tower. On the last day we travelled from Paris to Heathrow airport, spending an hour relaxing in a beautiful park in London enjoying brilliant sunshine. Then it was off to the airport for an easy check-in and the flight back to Hong Kong. All students behave perfectly on the trip and I really hope everyone had a good time. Students, please add your comments and reflections about the trip. It will be good to know what you thought of it. To help you remember, these were some of the highlights: Walking to Tower Bridge Buskers at Southbank/London Eye The Carnival in London The Italian Meal and singing at Bella Italia The Lion King High School Musical Shopping ... read more

Students had a wonderful time in Disneyland yesterday and today was an equally good day, and it’s not over yet. It was an early start as we set off to see the Bastille Day Parade along the Champs Elysee. However, once we saw the crowds we quickly changed our plans and went to the Louvre that was virtually empty because everyone was out watching the parade. Once the Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo had been seen, we dashed to a vantage spot to see the flyover. It was an amazing spectacle. After that it was lunch and shopping in Montmatre. Later tonight we’re off to see a concert at the Champs de Mars followed by a firework display at the Eiffel Tower. Tomorrow it’s back to London and then the flight to Hong Kong. ... read more
