Hi Everyone Students and Ms Shek and Mr Yu are safe and sound sleeping like babies in the hotel. I've been up since dawn, have been for a run (7km) and now having breakfast and it's still only 5am !! The flight was fine, long and tiring but manageable. We spent the first day exploring the area around our hotel. We started with a lovely full English breakfast and then headed to Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens. The students did some work while sitting on the grass and enjoying the beautiful sunshine. However, rain clouds followed by a massive thunderstorm sent us running to the Royal Albert Hall for some coffee and some live classical music. One week to go so I guess everyone is getting pretty excited. Last week of exams, lots of marking for the teachers, a weekend spent packing and organising last-minute things and then off to the airport on Monday.... read more

All home safe and sound. Very touching to see the students and host families hugging each other goodbye. Quite a few tears as well. All in all a very successful study tour. All went well. The students were very good, the host families excellent and all activities went well. Today the students had class in the morning and in the afternoon they went to the Botanic Gardens and learnt about plants used by aboriginals for food and craft. After that, we drove to the top of Mt Coo-tha for ice-creams and a view of the city.... read more
