On tube from Heathrow
The flight went very smoothly and most of the students seemed to sleep quite well. I wish I could say the same for me but as always I spent most of the flight wide awake and uncomfortable. I really do hate flying!! When we got to London we were greeted by very misty weather. The heatwave they have been having in England was over and the forecast was very heavy showers. Luckily the weather forecasters got it wrong and we survived the day without getting wet. In fact the afternoon was beautiful, about 25 degrees and very sunny.

From Heathrow airport we caught the tube to the hostel, left our luggage in the store room and then walked to Tower Bridge, where we had a traditional English breakfast. Then we went to Borough Market, a sensational food market with some really unusual products on sale. After that it was back to the hostel to check in. On the way back we stopped off at Tescoes to buy some food and drink for the evening. Finally, I took the boys to watch some of the Murray v Roddick tennis match while the girls stayed in their room and did whatever girls

No, it's not raining !!!!
do....... chat and gossip I guess.

I am assuming everyone slept well as it was all quiet but me, as always, suffered from jet lag and woke up at 3am. Arghhhhh.
