Brilliant Photos
Love the pics Nanci. Each time I see your blogs I am tempted to get Lightroom as your photos always have that snap and pop. This pic a great time lapse. But I don't read manuals! Nor do I like to sit through tutorials. Oh the dilemma! Guess I'll have to be content looking at your pics and wishing I had what you have!

Sounds and looks like a wonderful place...
to settle down. That would make a good Forum topic...where would you like to settle down?

Wonderful places....
We really like Joshua Tree. We didn't write about it, but we also looked around Palm Springs which we liked also. I think it would be a good forum topic. I suppose we will probably never stop traveling, but we are getting towards the end of moving full time. Thanks for reading and commenting, Bob!

Coming off the road?
Sounds like the wonderful life on the road may be winding down. The thought of having a more permanent place is calling your name. We will be waiting to see if you decide on mountains, seaside, deserts or the countryside. Should be fun looking at thinking about what the future holds. We picked seaside. It will be interesting to see what you decide.

The road...
As much as we hate to admit it, we are getting tired. However we're writing this from another far off land, so we're not quite done yet. The more places we go, the harder it is to decide where to grow roots. I guess time will tell. Thanks for writing! We really appreciate it.

Lovely place
I have very good friends in the USA. Last February We drove on several national parks and Joshua Tree was one of them. Very interesting place. I remember the amazing shapes of the rocks. Your photos are excellent. Hugs from Argentina.

Japan is on the short list
Slow travel interest us but not sure how we would do with a month in each location. I might like 10 days to two weeks but you might not consider that slow travel. We look forward to the taste treats we will experience while in Japan. Those prices for fruit sound unbelievable. Recently in Iceland we were in a fancy hotel for a celebration. I ordered a bowl of lobster bisque before calculating the conversion...yikes... I paid $36. Later when I realized I was stunned. It was a large bowl (meal size) and had lots of fresh seafood halibut, lobster and shrimp but dang. I've learned to do the conversions first before ordering now. Thanks for sharing Osaka- sounds like it is worth a visit. MJ

Short List...
You will like Japan if you decide to go. It has all the modern comforts, but is still exotic and culturally unique. You could easily see the best sites of Kyoto and Tokyo in less than a week each and Osaka could be visited in a couple of days. We enjoy the longer stays but would have liked to see parts of the rest of the country also. Prices for specialty items were sky high (definitely look but don't buy), but we found we could find really nice food for cheap prices. The markets all compete for the bento lunch customers by offering delicious meals for low prices. Sushi was extremely cheap and delicious. Thanks so much for reading and following along. We really appreciate it!

Futureworld
I LOVE the sound of Futureworld! I want to experience everything you describe (expect maybe the owl and penguin thing - that's so not on). Tokyo really does sound like the future, but I suspect a doctor would recommend a quiet cuppa and a lie down as a regular antidote to the manic-ness, in order to survive there :)

Futureworld...
I've only seen the penguins here in Tokyo, but the owl cafes are everywhere. We didn't go in. They seem kind of mean to us also. There is a hotel here where the walls are covered with books and you rent a whole bunch of pillows to lay on. You just sit around all day and relax with a good book. Futureworld has thought of everything you could ever want! Thanks for reading and commenting!

WOW!
I randomly found this blog and I have no idea what you are saying at first but when I have finished reading...Wow! this is not a simply telling story but the magic story telling. I have never plan to visit Japan before even I live in the country in Asia, after reading your blog I can not deny that I am sort of interested in traveling to Japan and Tokyo. That you to inspire me :)

Dining with a penguin?
Ok so the future has some things worth embracing and maybe some that are not. No litter, no graffiti sounds like a wonderful world. We look forward to having this experience some day. Stunning cities around the world but this one has dumbfounded you and from now on you will compare all to Tokyo....wow, now that is a statement. What a great experience.

Penguins....
Dining with penguins, like living in a city of 30 million, is certainly not for everyone. There is something here for everyone and that can't be said for everywhere we have travelled. We saw tons of things here that probably shouldn't be exported, but a whole lot that should. It is a place you really need to see to believe. It really is amazing! Thanks for commenting!
