(Slovenska verzija sledi v nadaljevanju) (versio catalana mes avall) Hello from China!!! Having only two weeks per country is obviously not the best way to get to know a country, but it does allow you to get a general idea of the whole area. In this case, while crossing the border to Cambodia was a step back in time, crossing to China from Vietnam was also quite impressive. We were really surprised from the first second. Amazing motorways, skyscrapers, the most comfortable buses one can imagine, everyone on electric bikes.. people even speak (a little) English!!!!! We are aware of the fact that China is huge and probably very diverse, but we definitely didn’t expect what weve seen so far! The first place we went to was Nanning, an insignificant city in China the size of ... read more

(Slovenska verzija sledi v nadaljevanju) (versio catalana mes avall) Hello English speakers! Vietnam has super fancy computers and internet connections (and were paying exactly 13 cents an hour!!) which means we have the time and energy to write an english version on the blog! =) Vietnam is coool! Were in Hue at the moment, the old capital of the country, in the old South Vietnam, very close to the Demilitarized Zone! Absolutely no one in the country speaks English, which is weird, since they have a lot of tourism! It is a bit annoying because the lack of communication leads to strange situations, especially because whenever you ask something they never tell you they dont understand, they simply say yes or no and its up to you to believe them or not! In the hotels for ... read more

(versio catalana mes avall) Aloha iz Vietnama! Kocno, prispela sva v Vietnam, pred 4 dnevi. ... read more

versio catalana mes avall) (Slovenska verzija sledi v nadaljevanju) Hello from Cambodia!! We arrived to Cambodia on Sunday, after 14 hours on the road, lots of fights and stress. Only getting the visa took us one hour, because they wouldnt give it to us unless we gave the policemen a tip of 10 dolars per person!!! Once we managed to convince them we thought the worse was over, but obviously we hadnt seen the road that had to take us to Siem Reap, a city in the north of the country very close to the Angkor temples. Crosing the border was literally going 100 years back. Let me just say it took us 6 hours to do 150 kilometers!!!!!!!!!!! We got to Siem Reap at around 9 and the day after we visited the Angkor temples. ... read more

After the trekking we decided it was time for some relax on the beach. We chose the island of Koh Chang because, from what we had read, it seemed the last untouched paradise island in Thailand. The first impression, though, was deep disappointment, since when we got off the ferry we saw nothing but hotels and souvenir shops. It wasnt until the day after that we found out that our dream paradise island also existed. The best decision we made was renting a motorbike, because that gave us the freedom we needed to discover the island's hidden treasures. The first day we explored the west coast and we already found a very nice beach where we were all by ourselves. But today we found paradise! We noticed on the map that the road that surrounds the ... read more

Hello from Macau, a strange place! Were about to leave the city and fly to Bangkok, but in the meantime, since there is free internet at the airport.. Like I said, Macau is a very weird place, full of contradictions. Its in china but when you are there it gives you the feeling youre in Las Vegas. No traces of comunism. Everyone seems to be filthy rich for a start. I can say we were the worst dressed people in the city!!!Its full of huge hotels, casinos, lights everywhere, really expensive designer shops.. and its very clean (actually I read somewhere its the second cleanest city in asia after singapore), quiet.. in the streets, everything is written both in Chinese and Portuguese (thank god for that!) and it-s quite expensive, more or less BCN prices, even ... read more
