Hello, absolutely worn out after a Big Day Out in Berlin! Started at the Brandenburg Tor, saw the Holocaust Memorial, the site of Hitlers´Bunker, the Berlin Wall, the death zone, Checkpoint Charlie, The Terror Memorial and the Island Museum. It was a walking tour and the tour guide was very entertaining. I had a haircut at the Arkade-Potsdamer Platz after the tour, then went to the Tiergarten which is where Berliners hang out on hot days, literally, so I´ve been told lol! Greetings from Berlin. We arrived here at 3-15pm from Prague. Without too much drama we found the bus to The Three Little Pigs Hostel, down the road from the Potsdamer Platz. We went out for tea with Stephan, he lives here in Berlin, then we wandered around Postdamer Platz and the Sony Centre nearby. Saw some of the Berlin Wall and took pics. Tomorrow there is a free walking tour from the hostel at 10.30am so we are there! No pics for a couple of days, at least till Hannover. Bye from me. [View Full Entry]

I'm over Prague already, the place smells and it's dirty. Not much information in English on the metro, the ticket machines are tricky. Getting around without getting lost takes a bit of doing. But, the beer and the food is good, and cheaper than elsewhere. The hostel is a dump, the shower head is falling off the wall, it's none too clean, and impossible to sleep because a door was slamming all night. Hello all, greetings from Prague. Not long arrived and still have to find the hotel, apparently it is about 15-20 minutes from here. Not many speak English hich is a bit of a drama, and the tube is no fun at all, very confusing. We have our tickets to Berlin, got those about half an hour ago, we leave on Sunday morning at 10-36am, another four and a half hour epic train trip to get there, better be a buffet car this time! Hello, we´ve arrived today in Messingen, close to the Austrian border and to Bavaria, approx 100 klm from Munich. We left Locarno at around 10 this morning, direct to Zurich, arrived there at 2pm with no idea where to go next as we are not due in Munich till tomorrow! So I found some lockers, dumped the bags and went searching for an internet point. Looked up Google maps and Messingen looked good so here we are. Hi all, we are leaving Locarno this morning, apparently it is the playground of the super-rich, no wonder everything is so exxy here. Last night we met two Swiss girls on holiday, we went out for drinks at a cafe in town and then went down to the park by the lake, I talked to a lot of locals who were pleased to be able to practice their english as it is required teaching at the schools here. Everyone has to learn english and german. The swiss are very friendly people and they do not have criminal activity on the streets [View Full Entry]

Hello, just got back from a trip to Briga, we had to pass through Italy again so we can say we've been there twice. The police che4cked our passports but not the girls sitting opposite us, she said are we criminals, I said yes, we are from Australiaq, it's full of criminals.
