Rick Wakeman Hello there, Just to quick one to say we went to see Rick Wakeman in Norfolk last week playing piano and half standup and he was bloody brilliant! Hope you have a lovely christmas at the farm.
A book can never be.... too big! Well, even if you don't, as you say you've still got the travel blog! And thank you, have a good Christmas and new year too! I'm sure I'm gonna know what you get up to, lol!
Namibian is not pregnant! He is, however, a disgrace..but I love him to bits.
Oh, I remember sleeping in a swag once - somewhere between Adelaide and Uluru. I don't think we get them in Europe but they're just brilliant.. Bloody Aussies have all the fun!!
hi, i've been reading your blogs from about the first month, love them. i am an aussie living in the states so have been enjoying the pictures you paint of my first home. keep on having a great time.
why don't you... Write a book about your travels? When you're done, that is! It's probably been suggested before, even though I don't know you, I think it's a brilliant idea, I would buy it! You both write very well :)
Black Widow That spider looks like a funnel web or something from that family of spiders. Definitely not a wolf spider, and "black widow" is the American version of the red back, so not that, either.
Handbags and hens! Caroline...you left your homestead here too soon as I had promised myself that I was going to take you shopping and buy you a designer handbag..Radley comes to mind, but never mind you will have to wait until we visit you in the new homestead. This is a promise. Mum x
We had a laugh because reading the blog we thought it was you Caroline that had gone to feed the hens and collect the eggs....I used to love doing that, but I did not like the broody ones as they pecked my hand really hard. Forgot say on skype that Auntie Margaret sends her love. xx
Woodstock Glad to see that things turned around and you are back at Woodstock. It should certainly make the next month much better for you both.
Hope all goes well with the 'tummy' button, Andy.
I, personally, don't mind when you don't get your blog updated right away. It just makes us look forward to the updates.
Take care and I will keep following you.
Happy Christmas Glad things worked out well. Envy you your travelling. We are looking forward to going to the Birdsville races in August, then off on the big trip the following year. Had intended it this year but the GFC got in the way!
Drop in and see us at Budgewoi if you are going past.
John.
Flash Forward Hi Andrew, glad that you are reading the blog..... I did not watch Lost, but I think I know where yo are coming from..... I think Flash Forward will be the same, not to be rushed even though we are all eager to get to the end and find out what happens 6 months from the blackout....... Take Care... C xx
Orba Hi there, not surprised you will be heading back to Spain, I am sure that you only went home as the villa was booked out to someone else after you.... We keep hearing how bad the weather is in England so very grateful that we can still enjoy the sunshine.... despite the bad weather we had recently although a blessing for many people in this area as the water is much needed and yet still not enough to break the 8 year drought.... Andy says thank you for Dads comments.... he did work hard and he did enjoy driving the tractor, but I dont think he will be looking at being a farmer anytime soon...... We will hopefully find out more on 17th about Andy's results and that may give us an indication of how soon the op needs to be done.... Catch up soon. lov and miss you both. C xx
We wish! Hiya...Yes, we wish we could join you, but you wont be surprised to hear that we will be returning to Orba in Spain in the not too distant future. We have to wear our wellies in the garden as the water now goes over our shoes....Glad to hear that you are happily back at Woodstock. Dad says that he has great admiration for Andy and his work on the farm especially how quickly he mastered the machinery. Sorry to hear about the hernia and the length of time it will take for a repair. Take care.
Love you xx
Mother and Joey Hi Babs! Glad you like the picture, there is something rather special about the Joeys trailing behind their mothers.........glad you love it....

Caroline
Back in the November of 2008, we embarked on an adventure that would take us out of everything that we were so familiar with, a comfortable life in the UK, friends, family and the English countryside. Some call it brave, others thought that we would be back, but above all, most people helped us embrace the challenge that lay ahead of us.
Weary of corporate life, we emigrated to Australia, with the notion of buying a 4 wheel drive and camper trailer and a 12 month trip to explore our adopted country, Not an easy thing to do as we had to start from scratch, simple things like knife, fork, s... full info
