Kalgoorlie
Morning Barnaby, I could think of a lost worst places than Kalgoorlie to get waylaid, we thought it was a great town. It's nice to see that you have been reading Kangaroojack' Blog for a while, I have to say, that moment, in Darwin was a Classic incident that we all have now and again. I don't think it translated that well to words, but man it was funny. How long have you been blogging on this site, I think Travel Blog have got it sorted really well. You may not be interested, as it is a bit of a Busmans Holiday for you, but we did a good blog entry on Trucks asCaroline and myself both come from Haulage families, so we had to do one on trucks. All the best, I'm just about to read your latest entry. Andy

Yay a cassowray! or wary but that don't rhyme
At last you got one on film. Like you we only saw one in a zoo in Oz last year (it will be a year on Friday!) I'd like to see a Cass trying to walk over the lines and poles so it doesn't get run over.... Also be facinated to see the shooting snake. Tony hot sweaty and exhausted in Morocco until next week. All the best

Great photos
Hey, thanks for following my AC/DC blog. I left a response but I don't know whether that comes through to you. I enjoyed your road rage rant. You'd hate driving in the UK! One of these days I aim to reach the north coast of Australia. Last time I visited, I only got to Uluru and then got waylaid in Kalgoorlie...for 5 months. Keep the blogs (great photos) coming..

Birthday
Happy birthday....hope have a nice day with no rain! We are sitting in the blazing sun at the moment....have read two of your blogs, but it is too hot to stay out here. We are waiting for the shops to open at 12.00. We need to buy our groceries as we only have some bread, tinned corned beef and one of my fruit cakes......hope to try the swimming pool later.

my favorite part about mission beach
I loved the little balls of sand rolled up! We looked for likenesses of Elvis or Jesus, but alas, none found. We also crashed around the jungle looking for cassowaries, but had no luck. I figured they had all been run over judging from the multi road signs.....glad to see there is at least one left! Great blog. your trip is bringing back lots of memories for me. ta

Breathe
Hi Emma and the Patterson family! Great to hear from you, we are probably going to be in Townsville by tomorrow night, we stayed in Cairns a while longer than anticipated and are slowly heading South! I finished reading that book you gave me today, it was a good read after all, and it is still a bit damp would you believe! I dont think it will dry out properly up here. It was great meeting you guys and you never know we may head out West again. Safe travels. Andy and Caroline x

The special place that is Paronella
Hi from Sarah's Mum (Wallaby Wanderers) - we have been following your progress with great interest. The photos from Paronella brought back some lovely memories of when we were there in 2003. It's certainly a 'one-off' place and a labour of love for the owners. Good luck with the remainder of your travels! Best wishes, Jan and Graham.

Great summary
What a great summary of your trip to The Cape. Should give anyone who is thinking of going, a lot of great information. Maybe that will be us. Maybe not. One of the main reasons, I suspect, that you have so many readers, is that you do such a great job on your blog. I will be keeping up with your journey. And please let us all know how your 'settling down' goes.

In Cairns next week
Hi to you both. You may remember that a few months ago (June) I sent a message asking for your advice re budgets etc to which you replied. I'm still reading your blog everyday and following your great adventure hoping that one day we'll do something similar. Anyway, I have read that you are currently in the Cairns area but I do not know how long for, Elizabeth and I will be arriving in Cairns on 27th Oct and staying for 15 nights in Palm Cove at the Rockford Novotel. If you are still around it would be lovely to meet you, see your travelling home and hear your plans for the near future in person. We are setting off on Thursday 22nd and going to Hong Kong few a few days first. If you're still in the area please email on ricandliz@hotmail.co.uk. Hope to see you, all the best. Richard

Well Done!
Have been enjoying your blog from day one (when's the book coming out?) Glad you enjoyed Cape York and looking forward to hearing about more of your adventures through your eyes. Us Aussies do tend to take things of this beautiful country for granted at times so it has been interesting and enlightning to see it from your prospective. Thank you for entertaining me most nights. Hope you enjoy Tassie again in the new year and may see you down there as we are going in Jan/Feb. Its a small world! Good luck with the rest of your trip Regards Lyne from Royal Flying Doctor Service Visitors Centre.

G'day from Invy
Hi guys, just done my weekly catch up of your blog - had a sickie today, 1st one ever at this job! If you want reptile action you need to come and visit. Josh's blue tongue has come out of hibernation and is most social through the day sunning himself under the heat lamp. I know i'm not too keen on the lizard but I did feed him a grape as he was looking hungrily at me, I'm such a sucker!! Glad to see your keen on 'Packed to the Rafters' we never miss an episode in our house, the kids forgot to tape it the other night so we all crowded around the computer to watch it on the website. Very happy happy birthday to you Andy for Wednesday - hope you get to enjoy 20 cups of tea for the day - maybe a sneaky cake as well. Take care and keep enjoying TT's xx

Interesting blog!
Just commenting to say that I love reading your blogs! I stumbled across this site about a month ago and have been reading them since! I am planning to go travelling around Australia in about 15 months time (feels like a life time away!) with a friend. Yours, as well as others are making me feel more excited about going there, it's good to get some sort of insight as to what it's like there! Keep up the good work, I look forward to reading more of your stories!

Brilliant entry - I must confess I have not been reading the blog recently as not had much spare time, with mum being ill and also away myself on and off for a month - so delighted to re-find it again - Loved the line Billy Smarts circus on ice! a classic comment and now I have a lovely mental picture of Caroline riding the bull in the Patrol!! Lots of Love to you both Karenx
