Have been engrossed in your blog last few days - catching up since we met at Wangi Falls, Litchfield. Top performance - thanks for such quality writing and photos. Bursting to see you again - hopefully soon in Canberra. Keith and Jan
FAB as they used to say in Thunderbirds! I did get a bit lost in the acronyms actually..
I've passed on to Namibian that his paragraph was well-received, by the way. Ha ha..
And I look forward to the tea! I'll get back down to Oz one of these days, I'm sure. Thanks Caroline. Big hi to Andy..
lovely photos! Hi, my name is Annie and I'm looking for a photo of an old Australian shed to put on a dvd that I have made. I was wondering if i could use your photo of the little shed with the rusty tractor?
just to let you know... It's snowing back in England. Heavily!! Hampshire is the worst hit too (I live in Portsmouth) inches of it has layed. It was also -8 here yesterday! Crazy eh? Don't think I've seen it like this since I was a kid (and it wasn't that many years ago lol ) :)
Told you snorkelling is great ....oh, different sort of snorkelling! There'll be absolutely no stopping you now and there was nothing much stopping you before! I'll look out for a small pair of flippers for your UHF aerial then you'll be set!!
lots of love and safe snorkelling!

better late than never Dear Andy and Caroline,
Here finally a message from Renate! We've been so busy ever since we got home. Only now that I'm about to send my annual christmas letter (too late, I know) and journal of the trip, I'm looking at our address list and see your blog address. It's fun to see what you wrote about us. The rest of our trip was great and we plan to go again this year (outback SA and around Alice Springs) 2 - 3 months somewhere in the period April - July. If you would like to receive our letter and journal, please send us an e-mail! We hope you are doing well. Will take time later on to read more of your entries. It was lovely meeting you - twice!
Take care,
Sietze, Renate, Julian and Claire
Happy New Year!! Happy 2010 you guys, your BBQ feast looked fantstic. I must be on holidays as I have managed to read your blog every day for a week now instead of the usual catch up method I use. Keep on enjoying, talk to you soon Jode (TT's) xx
Chicks
Hello..We are both wondering why the chicks are left in the coop with the grown-ups. We never did that on the farms here....Grandad Ivin used to hatch our eggs in an incubator and then they were put in the sheds with a heater, food and water. Granny Hocking used to have brood chicks with mother only, until they were able to fend for themselves, removed from mother hen and put into a warm pen with food etc.
Speak to you soon..x
Ominous sky Beautiful photograph Caroline (sorry Andy but I'm assuming the good lady was at the controls!). Good to hear you've passed 45'000 hits on the blogs - awesome!
Talking of dogs we met a beautiful French Bulldog called Syrup the other night, bless his heart! The two Blue Heeler guard dogs on the small holding we went to today looked less friendly!!!
Great to see that things are going well, they'll make farm hands out of you yet!!! Ha Ha!!
all our love

Happy Christmas Have a great Christmas guys. If Wantabadgery is too full, try the river at Gumly Gumly. I lived there as a student in the 90s and it was very pleasant then.
John
Happy Holidays You two have a very Merry Christmas and the best of travels in 2010. Even if you stop for employment for a time, travel will beckon.
Gary
Hello Andy and Caroline Or is Caroline and Andy? We'd get on great, I think, what with your kettle always being on!
I guess I'll have to go back to work in about May - oh hang on, that sounds absurd. Maybe April.. The most likely scenario is that I'll do another six months for AC/DC and U2 - yep, they're still going on their World Tours..
I'm not idle at home, though! There are a few projects in the pipeline..
Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year. And keep the blogs coming!! Barnaby x
Wishes Hello Andy and Caroline, we wish you a Merry Christmas and A very Happy 2010. We hope next year is as good as this one, still love your blog, most of England has snow, but where we are rain not fair. Lots of love Chris and Willemien xx
Great journalism
Just a message to Lurpak34..because Kangaroojack's blogs are brilliant, that's why, so it keeps all the other bloggers on their toes. lol
Happy Crimbo! Hello you two. Have just caught up with you. Read from 6th to 21st in one hit! The days fly by so quickly it's hard fitting everything in, so had got a bit behind. I just had a lunch in tribute to you - homemade curry left over from last night. Yes it does improve doesn't it.
Let's have a photo of the new hair cut then Andy! What you really need on the farm is an orange thing with two wheels :-))
Have a fantastic Christmas on the farm. Think of us shivering over here in the snow......
Love Tony and Wendy (Team Orange) xx
Barnabee. How do you manage to get a new blog on the front page when there was already one there? Ten minutes ago, there was Santa outfits and now you've replaced that blog without it sliding off the bottom of the page! I'm fogged! Happy Christmas to you both..
christmas they all came at once Andy - did all your christmas come at once with Caroline in that suit?? you dont have to post this if you dont want to!!!!!
Back in the November of 2008, we embarked on an adventure that would take us out of everything that we were so familiar with, a comfortable life in the UK, friends, family and the English countryside. Some call it brave, others thought that we would be back, but above all, most people helped us embrace the challenge that lay ahead of us.
Weary of corporate life, we emigrated to Australia, with the notion of buying a 4 wheel drive and camper trailer and a 12 month trip to explore our adopted country, Not an easy thing to do as we had to start from scratch, simple things like knife, fork, s... full info
