So after flying from Istanbul to Bhrain ive made it to Thailand. Its so much hotter here, finding it hard to adjust. Little bit of a cold maybe coming on, but hopefully clear up in a couple of days. My impressions of Bangkok: Noisy, bustling city with so much traffic. After going through european cities where you can walk, its a change to come here. The people are friendly, although always out to make a buck. You cant blame them. The exchange rate is so good, makes living alot easier than europe and the states. well im here in istanbul, my final destination in europe before i fly for my holiday in Asia. Turkey is quite an incredible place. Ive probably said that about every palce ive been, but it is nothing like i expected. Parts of Turkey are as modern as anyplace ive been, incuding the United States. Both Izmir and here in istanbul are just totally modern. If u are wanting to find the old turkey you have to head to the Eastern part ive been told, because everything you would find in an Aust city is here. Plus all the history that goes with being here. Okay so i forgot my digital camera in the rm, but il come back in the nxt couple of days to upload photos. Ive made it to the greek islands! Im up i the North Agean sea at an island called Hios. Its rather big and has some spectacular scenery and importantly its only 8kms from Turkey, which is handy for my final leg of my Europe adventure. Im really tired actually as i wirte this, i tryed to sleep last nite on the ship but didnt have much chance as we docked at 3.30am and of course nothing was open, including accom. well ive made it to greece. Yesterday we spent over 24hrs travelling to Greece. We caught a train from Rome down to the port of Bari in the south of Italy and then the overnight ferry and another train and then bus down to Olympia. The travel was good though, we had deck passes on the ferry, which literally meant the deck!! So we meet 4 other backpackers and we all slept on couches on the decks below. Was good fun, i slept well. I think it was because me and i spanish guy i meant spent the nite having a few beers with the Greek bus drivers. I slept like a baby! So ive made it to Rome! my favourite city overseas. Im so happy to be here, im here for 8 days which will allow me to settle in and really enjoy myself. We have great accom right near the spanish steps which is fantastic. So this is what i ahve been doing since my last entry- Nice- i travelled from Barcelona to Nice, Sarah and i took a break from each other and i travelled alone. So nice was not great, just didnt really grab me. The scenery is spectacualr on the riveria, but just not my kind of place. But i managed to go to Monaco for a day which was great. okay so since my last entry in morocco i have been to madrid and now am in Barcelona. The two cities in my mind are chalk and chesse. Madrid is a bit of a hole, dont get me wrong it has a really nice palace and gardens, but other than that its nothing special. Its in the middle of the country and not fantastic. Having said that the best thing that it has going for it is the night life, the only really good part. THey have these 'tapas' bars and basically u just drink and they leave all this food on the bar to eat, it was great. Okay so now barcelona. okay so with the photos on this page; it should work by going tp the gallery and then double clicking on the photo of me at the grand canyon. all the photos have been uploaded and when i log on; not through through the ad,inistration part i can see them. hope it works. well im going to upload a photo of me after a moroccan haircut, its more like a shaved head; it was a hell of an experience. when the hairdresser pulled out the razor and started waving it around i started to get a touch nervous. to all my avid readers i finally have a new installment. im down in morocco at a place called tangier. its up in the north of the country if u r scrambling for an atlas. its so different to europe, but i love it! it reminds me of egypt, but without the bus loads of tourists. our accomdation is cheap, translation_maybe not to the standard of australia. it took me about 10 mins to flush the toilet before. the ppl seem nice, im travelling with a girl from uni sarah. so it will be interesting to see if she still likes it here when we leave. so dont il recap my trip since san diego. flew to washington, which i once again loved as i dont follow politics a little and loved going to the white ... read more

well ive met up with my mates and we have been to Las Vegas and i drove us down to San Diego. Vegas was a bit crazy, its like the gold coast on steroids basically. THere is drinking, shopping and gambling. If u dont like these things then basically its a town in the middle of the desert! we had a great time. dont know if anyone is reading this (a very large possibility and i may be the only 1 who reads this!!) il continue anyway. we are in san diego which looks really nice. well im finally overseas and travelling the world. i had a short stop over in Fiji, which was the longest day of my life. At least i was able to get out of the airport. Ive just got to San fran after being in LA. Basically havent had a nites sleep yet since ive been away. My two gay room mates in LA just left the light on all nite and there was an asian guy who snored like a train. Basically no sleep. Wasnt a massive fan of LA, its really artifical.
