| 18th May 2009 The Nucleus | Congratulations - From: Canoe and Canyon Congratulations Jay, on the first entry where you haven't whinged about every single thing. If you're like that when you get to Sydney you can stay at the YMCA. Reading Natalie's entries makes me thirsty for travel and adventure. Reading your's makes me thirsty for arsenic and the slow release of death. |
| 28th April 2009 Mat | Carry on - From: Down South for the Winter Your story is very interesting to read, I must say I wish you had carried on with your trip down the Garden Route, there is so many amazing places to see. The town I really enjoyed with Plettenberg Bay, we went skydiving there, it was so amazing and we stayed in a backpackers (hostel) called Starling Village Backpackers who were just across the road from the skydive. What an amazing place, it is an old farm house in the forest with nature all around us. The people there are also so amazing and hell can they cook, the entertained us with a true South African braai (BBQ) which was out of the world. I can't wait to go back!!! |
| 27th April 2009 Fundi | South African food - From: Down South for the Winter Whow!! The food looks delicious!! Many travellers are surprised by the variety & quality of South African dishes. Luckily for most travellers - normally you walk a lot, so it's more difficult to put on a few kilos. |
| 27th April 2009 Fundi | Cape of Good Hope - From: Cape Of No Hope What's the plan? Where are you guys heading? As you said - South Africa is a BIG country. Make time to stop & spend time in some of the beautiful small coastal towns. Hiking, whale watching, snorkeling, cage diving, bird watching are all very popular activities. It really is a scenic coastline. Enjoy!! |
