Day 164 (Wednesday 30/09/09, NJJ)
Up at 4.30am then dropped car off and got shuttle bus into airport. Plane took off at 6.30am, had mini brekkie during flight then landed in Bush International (Dallas, Texas) at 9.45 TX time (9.45 CA time). Next flight took off 1.45pm and landed in New Orleans around 2.30pm. Got the airport shuttle bus to Park St Charles hotel for around 4pm. Showered then out for the evening. Dinner at Acme Oyster House, Jamie had the seafood gumbo poops, I had New Orleans medley. We walked around the French Quarter and then stopped at Pat O'Briens to try a 'Hurricane' drink each. We sat in the courtyard drinking and getting tipsy before moving on to Bourbon St for a 'Hand Grenade' followed by numerous other drinks in some of the bars. It was one of those nights where we didn't plan to get drunk but had one of the best nights ever - the best way to celebrate two weeks of marriage.

Not the voodoo shops again. Didn't he learn from the last time, or perhaps he was hoping for a repeat of his gay encounter.
