We have been married for 24 years, our children have left home now so we have decided to go travelling for a year.We are going to Australia in September callling at Kuala Lumpa, and Langawi. We are hoping to buy a campervan when we get to Australia then just go with the flow!

Weve arrived in Bangkok, we are expecting this place not be very nice and lots of hassle,but it's not.We are surprised at how nice it is,yes it's very busy and the traffic is chaos but no hassle at all.The hotel is central and very nice,we unpacked and got ready to go out and look around,there's little tuk tuk taxi's everywhere waiting for custom,there's lots of massage parlour's with people all getting foot massages for about 3 pounds.We made our way to the famous Patpong Rd night market, there's every copy of everything,very good quality aswell.Alongside the stalls are many bars with with Thai girls dancing in skimpy bikini's they have numbers on their wrist so you can pick one for a private dance or an evening or a week! all for a price of course,they lots ... read more

I know I take ages to get the blog on these days,not had the use of many computers,anyway its here the last bit of Oz After waving Mum, Vicky and Andy off we were back at John and Sue's ( balling our eyes out) but planning the next trip,Weve decided or rather Neil has! to take the car (maggie) and the tent this time,this should be intresting,so were going off down the Great Ocean Road again and then across to Adelaide and to Kangeroo Island,we plan to do about 4-5 weeks as we need to be back at the port in Melbourne to send Blossom( the campervan) off to England, this why we have the car now. Just got back three days ago form New Zealand, unpacked done washing and packed up again as Mum our daughter Vicky and nephew Andy are arriving today for 19 days,we have planned a hectic holiday so they can see as much as possible Arriving at the airport-waiting for them was exciting could'nt wait to see them, we were all tearful but lets get cracking weve lots to see,first stop was to Neils cousin's house in Kilmore Steve and Lyn we got back about 9am to there house, Lyn cooked a John Wayne breakfast,lovely, we thought the family might like a sleep but no all unpacked had showers and we went into Melbourne,first we went to St kilda had lunch in Acklam street then off to Andy Flemington Racecourse we all had a walk round and drinks ... read more

We needed to renew our Visa which works automatically if you leave the country, well I have been looking for bargains on the internet,really wanted to go to Fiji but no bargains there, Neil wanted to pay the goverment extra money to stay through the visa but I did'nt agree so I found a good priced flight for New Zealand and that was it booked!Neil wasn't that keen but our Son talked me into it saying you have to go there its only a three hour flight and it's mean't to be awesome, he was right. We booked for 10 days then rang Kelly and Lee who we met in Sydney as they are in christchurch and arranged to meet them, the plane journey was terrible towards the end as the turbulance caused us to drop ... read more

Well its about time I updated my blog!sorry Ive been so slack and thanks for reading them. After leaving my favorite campsite so far we got set off and drove for a couple of hours before needing a coffee, we spotted a sign saying panoramic view cafe we stopped and couldn't believe how fantastic it was, hence the name, we had'nt realized just how far we had come up the mountains this view was amazing ! after this we carried on to Batemans Bay found a nice campsite on the edge of the water we had a walk towards the sea and watched for ages the small stingrays and octopus chasing each other,the marine life is fasinating to watch.Just got back to the Camper when the heavens opened so we dived inside and had snacks and ... read more

Well after a week back on the farm in Melbourne were ready for the off again, know what to expect this time! Blossom has had a service and the valves sorted so we should'nt have any problems this time,we left Wondong about 2.30pm called at Steve and Lyn's to collect a lovely christmas pud she had made us,it was all wrapped up perfectly, thanks Lyn your a supercook. First stop Wadonga( all the names out here are very similar) its on the border of Victoria and New South Wales, the campsite is on a Lake which is only 30% full at the moment due to the drought, Neil noticed little huts on the camp pitches they were en-suite sites, your own shower and toilet, well he had to have one, what with the conservatory and now ... read more

Well we are doing that trip again across the deserted plain, this time we know what to expect, we planned to set off at 6am but it was too hot to stay in Kalgoorlie so we left after lunchtime, armed with a bucket full of ice and six 2-litre bottles of water and plenty of snacks we got on the road, about an hour into the trip I couldnt believe what I saw, a cyclone in the distance, it picked up all the red dust of the dirt roads and swept up into the sky, I took a picture but the reality of it was amazing,lucky for us it kept a few miles away.Neil did really well with the driving as we wanted to get across a quickly as possible, I did an hour hear an ... read more

well back to the story, going to print some pictures which should have been with the last blog , we carn't always find an internet cafe so bare with us for the updates, Fremantle- arrived here after looking at a few places on the coast,its about 20mins drive to Perth, found a campsite at woodmans point, there a nice beach with a small jetty so my man can go fishing again!we found a Vw garage up the road the manager was really helpful, it was going to be 2,500 dollars for the valves doing but we had to wait a week, so Neil bought some for a good price as he does, and he decided to crack on himself well what a job,40 degrees and flies all over attacking him, he was a mad man shouting ... read more

Staying here at Esperance for a couple of nights after that little escapade in Salmon gum,well its lovely to see the sea after days on that nullabor, were right on the seafront, there's a pathway right up to the town centre and a pier where holidaymakers and locals go fishing, they catch mostly octopus/squid. the locals are freindly one told us of a seal wich lives beneath the pier called sammy so we went to look for him, yes we saw him and four frienly dolphins just swimmimg around in the shallow water next to the beach it was great to see them. Finally ready for off, campervan all checked and packed up.First were heading up 'The great Ocean Road'Torquay was our first destination its the Famous for Bells Beach were all the surfing is, there are lots of shops full of surf clothing and boards we should get one really to have on the top of the camper!we had coffee then decided to move on up the coast to Lorne, this was a lovely place so we decided to camp here, although we never found a campsite so we just parked up and Neil started cooking, well the meal was fine but I didnt sleep much not used to this camping thing!in the morning we drove on to the sea front and had breakfast it was really lovely to see the beach on the sun, there was a ... read more
