Arrived in the Grand Canyon on a very hot, I was so excited as the last time I visited it was so cloudy you couldn't actually see the canyon! Imagine I travelled all that way couldn't even see a foot infront of my own nose - gutted. Luckily for me this time it was a beautiful sunny day and the canyon was very much in sight - horray! The canyon as you will all know if you've visited it is spectacular, awesome - really no words can do it justice, so I won't bother to try! Instead I will tell you [View Full Entry]

Well this national park is really spectacular, the sight of the Grand Tetons is simply breathtaking. Staying in Mammouth Hot Springs we had a great base to explore all the major springs of this super volcano, it was quite something, ntilalthough this area stunk of all those natural gases! If you come here watch out for the Bisons, those animals are huge and I hear more dangerous than the bears! Bears, we were looking out for them but had no luck until our waiter in the lodge, this old cowboy guy who looked like he should have been either the local [View Full Entry]

After a flying visit to Sedona, we headed on to Vegas! I love Vegas, it is just so much fun... This time we stayed at the Paris hotel, so glad we stayed there it was fabulous. The Parisian style was so funny, there was a lovely pattiserie that did cakes to D D Die for! We also went to see Cirque De Soleil's "O" which was incredible, those acrobats are so talented, there moves were incredible. Really reccomend this show. We also went to the new Wynn hotel, it was so luxurious, I ate the most gorgeous strawberries dipped in white [View Full Entry]

Well, Salt Lake City is the weirdest place I have ever been... Where are all the people, the town was deserted apart from the Mormons trying to haul us into there massive church. Which they did manage, I must admit I was really curious as to what the deal was with them. A couple of ladies took us around, one was from Brazil and the other from China, they both spoke to us like robots, there script was so well rehearsed it was so blatently obvious. They took us into the Church and showed us there massive statue of Jesus that [View Full Entry]

Getting through the border from BC to Washington was very tough! Just because I had been to the UAE more than 6 months before he got all shitty with me and started asking me 101 questions. Anyway, got through...eventually and that was that. The bus ride was not great, there was some lady on it who stank of ciggies and peed herself. Arriving in Seattle, we headed to our hotel in our hire car, the hotel was in the university district, and it was a bargain, great big room, clean, new, just fabulous. Did some shopping and then went and explored [View Full Entry]

I had bewn longing to visit Canada for years, and to tell you the truth when I finally got on that plane I was full of anticipation and the worry of not actually liking what I found. Well, I ended up really liking Vancouver, what's not to like? The Canadians were all friendly, the food was good, the wildlife and environment amazing. I stayed at the Sylvia hotel which was located on English Bay, it was alright but the room was very cold. We ate at the Banana Leaf around the corner, great food and atmosphere, and v cheap. We did [View Full Entry]

This was another weekend away with the girls from work, it all went by so quickly.... We first landed in Berlin and ended up walking forever from the train station to our hostel... We were all gasping for a drink so that was really our first stop. Staying on the East side of fantastic, it seemed so much more artistic than the other. Berlin was a really funny place, everyone raved about it's nightlife and to be honest on the night I think we were all kinda disappointed... Everywhere was either too quiet or a step back in time. So, we [View Full Entry]

I always fall in love with Paris each time I visit, not sure if it's the unashamedly arrogant Parisiens or the romantic vibe, whatever, I always discover new gems...Like the retaurant, Kong, which is located by the Seine on top of the Kenzo building, I think the nearest tube stop is the Louvre. The decor is fabulous, the clientele look like they've just stepped out of the latest edition of Vogue. The food not so great but it's not really about the food! I also discovered the tinest Japanese restuarant five minutes walk from l'Opera, gorgeous food. Thank you to the [View Full Entry]

My mum had been going on at me for ages to visit the UAE with her, well, last December I did and I was not disappointed. Those Arabs really have got it right, the sun was shinning every day, the food was top quality, it was so safe and their vision and innovasion is really out of this world. We stayed with local friends in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, and we visited Dubai for a few days. Check out these pics: [View Full Entry]

Well, this was a girly escape from the duldrums that is work... We had a right laugh staying in the youth hostel Celica which I believe used to be an old prison. The town itelf was pretty with the castle right up above, the locals were alright and the food not great... We did discover a great vegetarian restaurant though which was cheap but delicious and did the job. The nightlife was not great but it certainly was interesting; shopping was not great although we ended up in some designers studio looking at his latest collection before it being shipped off [View Full Entry]
