Hi all we are in Moscow, Russia has been a real supprise to us both, we did not know what to expect but lovely people and wonderful scenery. I left you in St. petersburg and the next day we went to the Hermitage Museum or palace, well about 10 km s of walking and viewing of fabulous rooms full of paintings, van gogh, monet, and to name just 2 that all I can remember, but there were certainly lots and lots more, will think of then later, plus all the royal jewellery from the Szar dinasties, back to arund the 14th [View Full Entry]

hi all we arenow in St. Petersburg after an eventful time in Warsaw or on the way there. lovely poland

Hi everybody, getting good at finding the computer in these hotels. Left Prague at 7.40pm and flew to Krakow in a ATR340, thats a smaller plane only carried 46 people, 1h 10m flight, then night rally drive from the airport to our hotel. Did not have any doubles lrft so guess what, 2 rooms no just kidding we finished up with a suite, 4 rooms. City tour was great, firstly to the Jewish area where the Nazi war machine remove them to gettos crowding 100,000 plus people into area big enough for 20,000 till they established the extermination camps. Did not think I had so much time. Prague is a beautiful city, as I said very old. At Prague Castle we took a self guide tour with audio. We went first too St. George Cathedral , old with the many preists buried there, then down an alley ful of small houses ,these belonged to the soldiers so it was easy to get up to the ramparts in case of attck, never happened, huge ditch around the castle and high on a hill. Lovely Prague

Hi all, We are in Prague . what a beautiful city, arrived Sat. in the rain from Buderpest in a propellor driven plane, cannot remember the last time i went on one of them. Our hotel the Leonardo is seperb. ond style rebuilt when was flooded in Italian style, quess because the owner is Italian hey. Went walking Saturday from around 11.00amtill 7.00pm, so much to see so little time. along the Danube

Hi all, Especially Taylor, Aidan, Luke and Joel, and their mum and dads. We have now reached the Danude River at the other side of the mountains they have a monument tto recognise the continental divide, from this point the Danude runs east and the Rhine / Main rivers run to the west. hi everybody, so the adventure continues, today we were in the village of Mainz, famous for the gutenburg museum, the person who invented the modern print, and has on display printing from around the world, plus the gutenburg bibles. The next stop was another cathedral, mainz Cathedral , and St. Stephens Church. hi everybody we are well on our way up the Rhine River after a great guided tour through the canals of Amsterdam, what a fasinating place this is, even now they are extending Amsterdam and as they do they are making more canals and with the soil taken to build the canals adding extra island for buildings. hi everybody we ae here at last, just a few hours in singapore like 6, then 12 aprox to Amsterdam. We are on board the ship WOW is this good, nice cabin, sliding door to look out of, no balcony, bit of an irish balcony I suppose. tomorrow off on canal tour, although we sort of did one today, then on the Rhine river . good flight over, must say singapore Air we think is probably the best we have flown for a while, more leg room, good service ,plane alway very well presentesd inside and out.
