I've been travelling and living abroad for many years - Israel 4 years, Japan - Tokyo 3 months, Switzerland - 3 months, Spain 3 months, Egypt - diving in Dahab and travelling 4 months, Holland... I've been living in London since 2004 and took many short term holidays - Ibiza, all around Turkey, St. Lucia etc... I've done a 7 months backpacking trip to SE Asia - covering countries: India, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore - flew back from Hong Kong. I'm a solo female traveller always happy to meet many interesting people on my trip. I spent 3 weeks in the Philippines in March 2010 - my base was Boraccay Island, but I visited many other islands. Now in November 2010 I started my 6 months holiday in Thailand without any specific plans appart from spending most of my time on gorgeous white sand beaches, working out and eating healthy :) My dad is arriving to Bangkok tomorrow and will stay for a month - this is his 1st time in SE Asia.beach_girl

I managed to broke my toe while walking on the beach, looking at the amount of yachts that appeared on Chinese New Year... There are almost invisible white stones in the white sand everywhere on the beach and I managed to broke my toe :) ouch. I was sharing my bungalow in Ko Lipe with a lovely friend from Norway for a week after my friend Lucy went back to London. I'm back to Phi Phi island now where I paid for a month for my new room with fast internet - I managed to get an amazing deal - paying only 8000 B per month on an island where they normally want over 1000 B a night... I don't even feel like leaving my room now - I've got a huge bed, internet, fan :) ... read more

After more than a week in Langkawi I crossed the broder to Thailand and right now I'm in an amazing Ko Lipe island. I've heard so much about it from fellow travellers, I needed to see it for myself :) I'll spend here a month or so as it's so relaxing and the clarity of the water is just insane :o) Accomodation isn't as expensive as everybody said it would be - but food is more expensive and the portions are tiny :) I'm planning to go on a few snorkling trips, train and swim everyday and just relax :) ... read more

Me and a friend went for an island hopping trip while in Langkawi - it was pretty intense at time as were were attacked by monkeys, but we were lucky enough to get out of there in one piece :o) Later that dy we were taken to see the Langkawi cable car which was exciting :)... read more

After almost 2 months on party Phi Phi island we desperately needed to relax in a quiet enviroment where not much is going on... Langkawi in Malaysia suited us perfectly... The beach is about 2km long - a fairly wide strip of off white sand.... The water is not really clear, but still very nice to swim in. The sunsets were breath taking every single day we were there - which was more than a week. We immediately felt a different energy about the place compared to Phi Phi - where it's always - go go go... I needed to do my visa run after 60 days in Thailand and wanted to visit a place in Malaysia I haven't seen - so Langkawi came handy :o) We did an island hopping trip - we were attacked ... read more
