Las Vegas……What do I say?? Well it’s exactly as we expected. Bright lights, casinos and extreme heat!! In fact it was probably hotter than we had expected as the temperatures sat around 40 degrees during the day. And when the wind blew, it felt like someone had turned on a hairdryer!! We got here on Wednesday afternoon and spent a few hours walking around finding our bearings. We were staying in the New York New York hotel so we were right on the Strip. The hotel was great, we even got a free upgrade which was great! We have spent our 4 days in Vegas walking around the strip, through the hotels in awe of how large they are. We spent some time shopping, sunbathing at the pool and we spend an afternoon/ evening at the ... read more

As our departure from San Diego approaches, Peter and I sit waiting for Shanes ‘Speciality’ barbequed Burgers…Hungry and tired after a fun day. Actually, a fun week! After leaving Los Angeles, we rented a car and things didn’t go exactly according to plan, we got ripped off at the car rental joint, got a flat tyre and then ended up at the wrong ‘Date Avenue’! Anyway, apart from all that, the 3 hour drive took us about 7 hours! It was so beautiful along the coast road. We passed Huntington Beach, Newport, and Laguna Beach to mention a few. Looking back now, we wished we had spent a few days doing that drive and stopping overnight in a few places….maybe some other time!! Eventually, after getting to the correct ‘Date Avenue’ and driving past the house ... read more

What an amazing 4 days we have had….Los Angeles certainly is the land of the ricj=h and famous! I will start from the beginning back when we were in Sydney International Airport. Peter and I were sitting waiting to board our flight and as usual, Im looking around, scanning the crowd when Im suddenly drawn to someone I thought I knew….In my head, I began thinking “Oh My God, Oh My God, Oh My God”….I tapped Peter but the words wouldn’t come out! Eventually I got the words out.. ”Peter, Its Russell Crowe” and at that Peter followed him as he thought I was telling some lies!! Well he soon found out that in fact Russell Crowe had just walked past us, wearing black Adidas Track Pants and a black long sleeved top he boarded our ... read more

Im only getting time to update this blog and to all my readers, im so sorry to have kept you waiting!! After we left Singapore, we flew to Kuala Lumpur and arrived at night time. First impressions were ok. I suppose we done it the wrong way round as we were coming from Singapore which was so Westernised and clean. KL was more Asian and not as clean. We noticed first there were lots of Muslims in this city but that didnt really bother us. We decided to spend our first day mooching around the shopping centres and drinking coffees!! The second day, we went to the Petronas Towers and were told that the tickets were sold out for that day but we could buy tickets for 2 days time. Great, we didnt even have to ... read more

2 flights later, we arrived in Singapore. Got the underground to the city and made our way to Rodney and Roisins house. It was pretty late so we just had a wee tour of the house and facilities which were top notch, chatted for a while and then hit the pit! So we had a few ideas of what we wanted to do and see but then we were bombarded with ideas from Roisin and Rodney! We decided to spend (30th Dec) our 1st day on Orchard Road, which is the main shopping district in Singapore. We were walking around for about 12 hours straight. We went to shopping centre after shopping centre. Of course had a few coffee breaks! To be honest, shopping in Singapore would make you green with envy because there are so ... read more

So its definetly been a while since I updated this thing! Ive been much too busy sun bathing to write the blog..haha.. So last time I had written we were getting ready to depart from the beautiful Phi Phi island! So we left by ferry and headed to Ao Nang pier and then got a long tail boat to Railay. We found the hotel with no problems. It was hot when we arrived. We got into our room and had a few minor problems- Peter blocked the toilet (Well I slag him that he did), the Air-Con wasn’t working and then the safe decided to lock with all our belongings in it! So we got upgraded to a fancy room- Great!! So we spent from the 14th to 19th December on this part of the island. ... read more

4th December- So Bangkok was a big city…. Busy with lots of people and many cars. We didn’t really do much on Saturday when we arrived, walked around and sussed out where we would eat dinner- Always the important things! 5th December- Sunday, we discussed doing touristy sights and we really couldn’t be bothered. We were fed-up looking at Temples and Palaces! So we decided to go to the business district to where the shopping centres are. Oh My Goodness, I have never been in such a shopping centre! It was huge, maybe 6 floors and hundreds of shops! A girls Heaven! Only problem was, we were only window shopping! Apparently there are like 2 or 3 of this size of shopping centres in that area. No wonder the people in Bangkok are so fashionable! We ... read more

After a pleasant flight, we arrived to Denanga and got a taxi to Hoi An. It is such a class place. Its laid back, busyish, lots of places to eat and full of tailors. Peter and I headed for a tailors that had been recomended. We had a look around and then one of the employees came and gave us a hand. Peter got sorted first, he chose the fabric of his new suit, chose what shirts and ties he wanted made and then was measured up. This company keeps our measurements on file and if we ever want anything made and are still the same size they will make it and ship it. Once Peter was finished, it was my turn and after a long time walking around the shop, I still had not made ... read more

So its been 7 days since I last updated this....Sorry folks! THe last time I wrote, we were about to head to our first beach experience in Sihanoukville. We arrived after about a 5 hour bus journey and got checked in to a really nice hotel. Our room was right outside the pool and about a 5 minute walk to the local beach. Unfortunately, the weather was really stormy and it rained for several hours, along with thunder and lightening. So we just lay around while it rained!! That evening we went to a beach restaurant and had some barbequed food which was good. Here, Peter discovered his enjoyment in drinking "Buckets" of alcohol!!haha.. On Saturday, our whole tour got a boat to another island. We stopped about half way and jumped into the water and ... read more
