Hi there people, After much pressure from Stace Coops we've hauled ourselves to the Internet cafe across the road and written a few blogs to keep you updated (it's only been 3 weeks Stace - gees!) We were going to put on our photos from our weekend in Belfast in Northern Ireland, but the stupid computer lab cdroms aren't working - again!!!!! So we'll continue our fight with the Irish computers and try to do that at some later date. Not much to say about Patty's weekend but a lot of beer was drank and a lot of crappy food was [View Full Entry]

A little bit thirsty...
Marching band mayhem
A couple of parade shots...

Hi all, Another blog coming right at ya. Happy Stace? Hope you all had a great Easter and thanks for the Happy Birthday, Tania & Co. I can't believe you remembered - I'm impressed. We spent the entire four days in Scotland and travelled pretty much the whole island. The photos don't do the scenery much justice - the place is beautiful and the people were very, very friendly and really helped you out and knew what they were talking about. Don't think the thermostat hit over 5 degrees while we there - made Ireland feel warm when we got back. [View Full Entry]

Our first trip around Ireland was like travelling back in time. The roads - so narrow. The radio stations - so old. The lack of music on a Sunday morning as church is broadcast across the airways. We felt like hippies travelling through the 60s. Thoroughly enjoyed the countryside - except for the bloody hedges. You couldn't see anything over the top of them and every country road had them everywhere! Watched Ireland play rugby in the pub and stayed in Wexford which unfortunately was pretty dead. I think the photos describe what we did best - so have a look [View Full Entry]

Well, we've finally found some time to get this blog done. Feeling the pressure from the Cooper clan to get another entry on here so here it is... We have settled. We are out of Belinda and John's hair - gees we were lucky to have them over here as a base. Would have been pretty crappy without them and Lindy Foat as well. Cheers to them! We're living in Smithfield, only 5 minute tram trip into the city centre. We were sooooooooo lucky to get this place, but we did persist with viewing places to get it...glad it paid off. Well hi all, We've made it to Dublin and been here for nearly a week now. Very different to London - old, cold and a bit feral in places actually. Quite unimpressed with the number of females without teeth and arguments from some of the locals. Anyway, the absolute majority of people are really friendly and helpful here. Stayed with Lindy Foat for the first few nights and crashed on her couch. One word to describe her place: freezing!!! Poor thing the landlord is a tight ass and only has the heater on low. It was great to have lindy to [View Full Entry]

Well finally we've found an Internet cafe where we think we can load photos. We're still trying to find accommodation for the night (cheap ass Lonely Planet has stuffed us around twice now with places not existing or being closed!) so this will be as quick as possible. Stopped at Bangkok for the one night (thank God!) and Dave had fun wrestling the tigers. Our tip for Bangkok is to not rely on the public bus system - basically they just wait until the bus is full, then they go. When we say full, we really mean full. We spent 3 [View Full Entry]

Stereotypical shot number 1

Hi all! Well, in two weeks we are off to see the world and start our adventure. At the moment we are just kicking back in Yarram and Sandy Point, enjoying the wind which is preventing us from enjoying a surf before we go. At least we'll be used to the wind for when we arrive in Ireland. If this travelblog thing is quick uploading photos etc, I think we will use this as our online diary - rather than Facebook. I hate all the added extras on that thing and it takes too long to upload photographs. At least all [View Full Entry]
