Hey hey monkeys, Again just a a short note to let you now whats doing....... The past week has been pretty full on......spent 4 days doing the Inka trail.....probably the toughest thing physically I´ve ever done in my life..... day 2 particularly was tough....only about 9kms but reached about 4100m and it was pretty much all up steps at a 45 degree angle for kms on end......really tough...but all worth it in the end when we reached Machu Picchu on the morning of day 4.... After that travelled by plane and boat to Peurto Maldanado and the junle lodge where we spent 3 days..... went from cold cold nights in the Andes to 35 degree days and about 99% humidty....was great though...loved my time in the jungle Which brings me to now ...i´m currently sitting in ... read more

Yes, its me again..... ready to give you all the riveting up to date details of my trip of Peru. First day was a bit of a drag.... after flying all night with no sleep (due to my discomfort of a bruised tail bone hereafter to be known as "assbone",which i bruised in Mexico after leaping out of my top bunk in the middle of the night and collecting one of the vertical parts of the ladder straight in the clacker - which at the time i thought had torn me a new asshole!!!) getting 2 hours sleep at the hotel, the walking ... read more

Well after getting a cyber-bollocking from Chucka about moving on from Cancun..... I thought I´d better get my ass into gear... The truth behind the delay in leaving Cancun which I will share with you now, is that only a little before leaving Australia, did I learn that due to the speediness of my arrival back into Oz from Peru (a WHO listed country that has been in the past infected with yellow fever), that I needed to be vaccinated and be able to show a valid vaccination certificate upon re-entry into Australia. The disease has a 6 day incubation period...so basically you know in a week if you have it, and thats why if you´ve been to an affected country within a week of returning home, AQUIS gets nervous. (my reluctance to share this story ... read more

Hey hey muchachos! Just a little entry here (ha..thats what they all say!)....really just doing it so I can post some pics... Not a lot to report...been out a few times.....got some pics and vid of Coco Bongo..... Went and had a look at some Mayan ruins that are here in Cancun, and my god...... the place was swarming with iguanas...everytime I saw a rock it had an iguana on it!!! Went out last night to a different club (gotta share the love!!) called Daddy Rock...was pretty cool...... and then this is the bit where I thank all the beautiful people, who, when I came home a little tipsy and a little homesick and started texting.....sent messages back making me feel loved...thanks and I love you all!! Special mention to Cupcake and Princess who gave me ... read more

Hey monkeys!! Yes I´m still in Cancun...its growing on me a little, probably thanks to a few nights out and some sights today.... but I think I´ll still head to Playa del Carmen early this week. Went out on Thursday night to a massive club called Coco Bongo....... was pretty awesome... apart from being packed and playing some ok music... they put on these movie based shows every half an hour or so....they are unbelievable!!!... the first thing we saw when we walked in (we being myself and some other cats from the hostel I´m staying at) was 3 girls dressed as vampires flying across the heads of the crowd while a Van Helsing and a Dracula battled it out in the middle of the dancefloor on a raised platform.... and then they were hoisted into ... read more

Hello yet again, So its about my 3rd day in Cancun, funny sort of place. Not at all what I was expecting. I guess i was expecting big long beach, a few bars close by, nice. Uh uh.....Along the "hotel zone" which is where the beach is......its just gigantic hotel after gigantic hotel...bit like Siem Reap was but on a massive scale.....if the giant hotel isnt finished its under construction. And im staying "downtown" where there is no beach...its only a 5 minute bus ride though, but its like the local cancun, not the touristy part. Its not as bad as i initially thought..but still not exactly what i was looking for. So not sure what im going to do.... was talking to fellow backpacker Mags here in the hostel, and shes tipped me off to ... read more

Hello children!!! So..... since last time...... Caught about $70 bucks worth of trains out to see my dads sister Chris...met some cousins..... had bangers and mash for lunch, got a copy of my dads family tree that goes back to 1700 something...... good afternoon That night tubed it to my mate Dan Oldknows...had beers with his parents and sister...before heading out with him and Cameron Paul, who i hadn´t seen in about 5 years... several very dodgy pubs and clubs later, and various incidents that are best not discussed in a family publication like this...i stumbled onto the spare bed at dans at about 6.30am...just like being home...... only got to bed earlier here. Recovered enough to head out to Clapham and go to Robyn (from Contiki)´s birthday drinks thingy.... was a good thing ...was about ... read more
