I was thinking about you actually, as my last Halloween was spent aboard ship. Such fun. Love the enthusiasm in your one teen standing there in the pic. lol. Great costumes. Glad you had fun!
I am slowly going crazy ...... OMG Netter. I am soooo glad to hear that you made it ok. I guess this gets filled into the Crazy, Hilarious and Totally Random - Carnival Cruise Lines story vault. Again, no one who has worked for Carnival would believe any of this. "People who have never worked on a ship", THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT IT IS LIKE, in one experience. tee hee......hugs.
Homesick for the Ocean Between reading your blogs tonight and my short skype chat with Nicole and Steph (my closest friends from the Majesty), I am feeling uber ship-sick and wishing I were there instead of worrying about the state of the country I am currently in. Soak up every minute of it Netter. Miss ya muchly.
AMAZING race! lol. Congrats for surviving all of that! I, too, would have lost in many times during that situation. We used to see all the dry docked ships in Freeport when we were there. I always thought Freeport was boring and ugly. lol.
Welcome to your new ship!
Onto the next adventure! Glad you enjoyed your time. You next should be just as interesting and fun!
By gummi shooters do you mean Jell-o shooters? They look different but I don't know what they are! PLEASE SHARE! lol. Good luck on your next contract :)
Skipbo! I taught it to Walt and a few of the teachers here but they're not as addicted as we are.
Isn't sunshine fantastic!? Glad you're soaking up the sun.
Happy Thanksgiving!
not sunk The Cornwallis was repaired temporarily after being hit by a German torpedo at Bridgetown and sailed to Trinidad for permanent repair. It was eventually sunk by the Germans off Maine in 1944.
Beautiful This looks like alot of fun. I Am actually from Dominica and visited the island in December, but never had the chance to do all these fun activities. I live on St. Thomas in the Virgin islands where the heat is becoming overbearingly hot causing me to misss the island even more. Normally I just close my eyes and just make use of my imagination feeling like im swimming in the river like you guys. IM JEALOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the highlight of my trip My daughter and I had an offer from a Rasta man to take us to "the Blue Hole". We had no idea what it was and it was the best day of our trip by far!!! He also took us to see "fire on the water". Amazing!!!
sounds like quite the adventure!
There's no risk of swine flu in the areas you guys are visiting I am assuming. Has there been much disturbance to ship life with the recent craziness?! Stay safe!
I make and teach art. The rest of the time, I travel. After Spain, England, Uganda, California and years of tour guiding, it was time for the next big adventure. Working for Carnival Cruise Lines. I signed onto my first ship in December 2006. Sevent contracts and twelve ships later and I've been around the Caribbean, Central America, Mexico, Hawaii and Alaska.
What have I put my hard-earned cruise money to? More travel! Oct - Dec 08 I travelled around South Africa. Sept 2010 I went to Fiji which had been at the top of my travel list for years. Making dreams come true!
