I visited Goa between 24th Feb to 10th march. Went on a package tour by Thomsons/Lunpolly from Gatwick airport. Well, about my experience in Goa - it turned out to be a very pleasant holiday. I was kind of very disappointed about the diving as I had plans for diving for 10 days. The water was so murkey and I got a closptophobic attack while under the water. It wasn't pleasant. So I cancelled all my diving. My parents joined me next day after the Ingles visit. It was wonderful to see them after two years. I asked them to stay for one week instead of the planned 2 days visit. Got them rooms in Goa herritage hotel. Nice hotel. We had generaly good time visiting places like old churchs and sunsets in the evening. We ... read more

I am just back from that serene, relaxing and yet magestic Goa. What a marvelous place on earth. Pity, its only now being recognised as a holiday destination in the recent times. Goa has got just about every thing - Beautiful beeches on the west coast, sumptuous sunset to keep you enchanted, Coconut palm sprinkeled landscape, small and yet imposing hills, water sports like surfing and jet skies, great restuarents to please the connousiers and very very friendly and laid-back people permitting the forginers to mix and mingle wihtout any fear or restrainment. As if these were not enough - a group of dolphins engaged in the never ending chase of fleeing schools of fish will keep you captivated. If you want some more then you can go to watch the sleek and agile birds in ... read more

I visited Luxor in November 2004. Went to Hurgada, a red sea resort for scuba diving. Luxor is about 4 hours bus journey from there. Due to terrorist fear - all the tour buses are clumpled together and taken as a convoy with full military security to Luxor. The convoys will stretch more than a mile as so many tourists are visiting Luxor. Incredible Luxor Nowadays Luxor is a small, sleepy and rather dirty town. However, it was the major capital and cultural center during the Pharo times - that is 2700 years BC. All the pharo kings were competing with each other in the archetectural acheivements. They built temples and graves - all of them way advanced for their times. They built everything BIG AND GIANT SIZE. An amazing acheivement when they did not have ... read more
