Happen to visit Bangalor for one day. Went shopping in Kemp fort shopping center whose exterior is a copy of the 'Excalibur' casino, in Lasvegas.

At the back of the shopping mall there is this Shiva temple with its gigantic Shiva and Ganesha statues. Rather unsual scene comparing to other normal hindu temples.

It will be the tower of the temple which will dominate the archetecture but here it is the Shiva statue which takes the prime attention.

Magnificent
My brother took us to this beautiful Shiva temple in August of 2004, it was our highlight of our trip. My daughter and I were spellbound, we felt that we were in kailash and closer to the lord himself. Eversince i have been recommending my U.S friends to keep this as one of their important agenda when they tour around India. What a wonderful gift to humanity.

it's true that the shiva temple in kempfort is awesome. But whether the shopping mall (just in front of the temple) has taken the beauty away from the temple is to be considered.

Truly a Divine Experience!!
I used to stay very near this spectacular temple and in my view the Shiva idol is just awesome! If one looks closely at Shiva's face, a keen observer can almost see Shiva's mood reflections.Somtimes he is angry or sometimes smiling. I have always felt Shiva's presence whenever I have been around this idol.

Ignore entring KempFort, It is very very worst
KempFort is very worst. Plz don't visit or buy anything there. They will allow you inside only if u look rich or else they will demand you that u should buy for atleast Rs.1000. Also the employees inside have no mannerism they will be behaving like beggars.

It is the most heavenly place that i had ever been to. This is one reason why i liked my stay in bangalore. As long as i was there in bangalore, i made it a point to visit the place everyday. And i have a special word of appreciation for the bhajan singers who make the place all the more divine. let the divine blessings of the magnanimous lord get showered on all those who visit this place.

The moment you enter into this temple and see Lord Shiva's Tapas Posture with half opened Eye. You will feel like you are in the most Safest place you can ever think off. You will completely forget all your worries and trouble if you sit in front and pray and make your wish with good heart. Its one of the finest thing the beautiful ever green Bangalore has. Please dont miss to visit this temple.

for the owner RVM
yes it is true that the Shiva Temple is beautiful but it is heard that the owner Mr. Ravi V Melvani is minting money from the devotees and spending for his own benefit. Heard that he is also known as a womaniser though he pretends to be a spiritual man....maybe that is the reason that his store has been closed due to loss...

Jitender Tiwari, the COO of the temple is helping the owner Ravi V Melvani in robbing the money from the devotees. It is good that the physically challenged people are given job but only to gain to the emphaty from the devotees...in return they get very less salary. Jitender is stealing money and he is helped by the financer Radha (his love)...hey jitender this is very bad ha....becareful.

Please visit us at www.humanitariannetwork.org and you will come to know about us more in details. Give up on religion, it doesn't work. Since when did cutting your hair off achieve anything? Rebel against the corrupt politicians, police and government officials. Demand fair treatment from the rest of the Worls, India is a wonderful country being dragged down by bad traditions.

Lord shiva is mahakal the god Of all Yugas
Saivism is ancient, truly ageless, for it has no beginning. It is the precursor of the many-faceted religion now termed Hinduism. Scholars trace the roots of Siva worship back more than 8,000 years to the advanced Indus Valley civilization. But sacred writings tell us there never was a time when Saivism did not exist.Lord of lords Is Maha dev lord Shiva, even Vishnu, krishna, and Rama Worshipped Shivji He is Mahakal the god Of all Yugas and Time,Om Nama shivya.

maha shivji and maha ganapathi.
being an tipical hindu comunity, I observed some ethical mistake of shivji's sculpture. Mistake. number (one) the hands position says that shivji in "thapas" which means the eyes should be in closed condition. ( two) If the god seeing his devoties means one hand should be in ' aashirvad" blessing possition as Lord Ganesha. (three) normally gods do "thapas" in original appearence. that is two hands, one head, and two eyes. please note not with three eyes. Please understand after the complition of His " thapas" the first vision ( what ever appears right on his sight) will get ash. through this statue we unable to come to the conclusion that the devoties are comming to take the ashirva or just to see his thapas.....? Ganesha

My favourite Temple
I had been to this temple since long back before the Ganesha statue established. Its my most favourite temple. The statue of lord shiva mesmerizes us, believe me, the moment we see him, our eyes doesn't support to see or enjoy any kind of beauty in the world. And I also liked that the organisors also established Jyothirlinga's around the big shiva. Its really amazing experience, no one should miss to visit the temple...God bless u

Loud noise all the time
I recently shifted my house very very near to Shiva temple. I get a clear view of the temple which i think it is my luck to stay in such a locality, I have become an ardent devotee of that temple. I immensly like the "shiva gayathri slokas" played at low tone in the mornings every day , which is really refreshing and like a booster to start the day with. But later through out the day the bajans sung in the tune of hindi film songs spoils the whole effect. There are times the sound is too much to bear. There are people who are sick and old , there are students who is preparing for their exams, there are people who come back in the evenings too tired after a day's work .For them the sound is little too much, they may wish to have relatively quiet evenings. It would be greatful if the temple authorities look in to this matter and keep the volume little low.
27th November 2009

request to keep the volume of bajans low
Hi, Can u kindly request the concerned authorities to keep the volume of bhajans little low, i dont mind mangalarthi being slightly loud. Mondays , it has to be low since it continues till the midnight.Barring the sound the temple looks awesome. Calm atmosphere has more effect on people who come to pray.
10th December 2009

Hi vs, I agree with you. Quietness far better than jarring music in a temple. Hope the temple authorities will see this and make some amends. regards, Teaman

Shiv Aarti
Hi All - I go to the temple almost every Monday and attend the aarti at 7:30. Wish I could go to the temple when there are only few ppl. Most of the ppl who come there.. come just for fun.. take pics of the Lord and leave. Only few serious devotees. Sometimes I feel it's less like a temple and more like a tourist place. I love the aarti bhajan..the male version and I learnt that it's sung by someone Babaji or Bawaji I'm not sure. The temple attendees say the bhajan is from 70s and is not available outside and I'm struggling hard to get that bhajan. I would really appreciate if someone at least gives me the name of the singer. Thanks alot in advance, Shashi

shopping mall spoilt the divinity
I went to the Kemp Fort in the month of June 2010..happened to see the gigantic idol or statue whatever u call of Lord Shiva..but I personally felt that shopping mall in front of the temple spoilt the divinity..if the shopping mall is removed and such a very good Shiva Temple is adequately given publicity, it will be seen by lakhs of Hindu devotees! I personally believe so!

Kempfort Shiva Temple
Hello Readers, As a Banglorean,, I would like to share this information about the commercial mind of the people who ever is looking after this temple in Bangalore,, Hope till date no one would have come across paying money to visit a Temple in India,, but if you want to visit this shiva temple in Bengaluru,,, The entrence and exit is full of shops,, And more over,, The entrance is having an Footwear shop.. I dont think anyone visiting the temple will buy footwears first and then take them inside the temple. and as soon as you enter the temple, you see a big statue of Lord Ganesha, and just behind that there will be two ladies sitting and selling the Entry tickets which is 30Rs for one person,, and This is just to Enter inside,, (AND there is no EXIT if you don,t want to PAY) and after a calm argument with the ladies sitting there,, I and my wife were allowed inside without paying,,, and again after the exit there were 2persons sitting who were collecting 10Rs again for the visit of 12 Jyothirlingas,,, which are behind the Big Shiva Statue,,, Till date i havn,t seen any temple in India collecting Entry Fees...

Shiva the buisness God !
Sad really. But then someone built such a magnificent Shiva and Ganesha. Sure they need to be paid. No money and nothing happens. Either way, hope after few years or so it should become free for everyone to see such a wonderful place. May be the government could pay fixed amount to the owners so that it is free for the people. Just a thought. regards, ken

Hi, i visited Shiva temple at Kempfort, bangalore at about 9.30 P.M on a Monday after my shopping in Total Mall. The temple looks awesome. But I was surprised to see the temple Bhajans are at full swing, that too very loudly. I want to request the concerned authorities to have some concern over ailing people, other religious sects, and students who are preparing for examination so that it does not hurt them in anyway. Otherwise, the temple is very beautiful.

GODLY BUSINESS & FAIR PRACTICE
Creating a loud atmosphere in the name of God is not a fair practice for people who live in the vicinity. I gather this temple even though it might be magnificent to look at but in reality it is a business venture ! Hope the government will regulate these so called "Godly businesses".

Noise and commerical
Yesterday I went to KempFort to see Lord Shiva\'s Statue because my relatives has come first time to bangalore. I have visited 5 times before. When I entered inside the way to Kempfort, there is a big Q and It has taken 1 hour to reach Vinayaka Statue. Initially I thought the crowd is because of Weekend. After Ganesha, There is a ticket counter to visit Lord Shiva. The situation is like mandatorily you need to buy the ticket. I asked in the ticket counter employee you havn\'t mentioned any where in the entrance. They given some non-sense response. Finally forcibly I bought the ticket and entered the place, its full of noice because of big loud speaker and one group singing the bhajans. Devotees come to temple means for fresh mind and peace of calmness. These 2 are not there now a days in Kempfort. Previous times I used to sit infront of Shiva about 30 minutes but yesterday Its really pain for me to sit atleast 2 minutes. Now in my opinion please dont visit the Kempfort now a days. Its pakka commerical. You can see Lord Shiva from Photos or just outside and pray him.
15th December 2011

It is a business
I agree with your thoughts. It is not a temple but a pure business venture. People should not go there for praying. But one can visit the place to see the magnificent statues of Lord Shiva and Ganesa, which are truly a master peice work.

SHIV MANDIR - RVM foundation incident with my girlfriend
Greeting and prayers to keep you all girls safe. My name is Andrew and I am Camila's Fiancé who you know as camy.My information to you all was in concern of my Girlfriend, the only reason she quit is because of his urge to sleep and his cheap behavior.he had taken the RMM to coorg and it was a first trip for my GF it was not even a week that she joined RVM in between when she joined he had gone for Talaash with Kushboo to singapore then he came and this was his next trip to coorg.where he directly approached my GF to sleep with him and when she refused he said all the girls out here are comfortable to sleep and do a lot and why not you.so she replied 'if so I Quit the job' .none of the girls working in that RVM foundation inform my GF about his urge to girls.coz I guess it is a policy or they are free with him. It is sad and also said that this RVM foundation is a place of hell equally a place of prostitution, where Ravi V malwani is using girls like his own property, and there are some girls who don't mind sleeping with him to get high position,to travel or stars But because of this cheap girls others girls also becomes victims. there are so many girls who have faced this cheap behavior from RVM. where RVM stands for-Rejoice.value life.make a difference and I understand this now completely where R-rejoice sleeping with girls, V- value life of those girls who slept with him on bed,M-making a difference by giving those girls stars, travel trip or increasing salary what a idea Malwani. There are so many girls who have given there view as complains and I don't understand why no action has been taken,I have spoken to all the ex employees who left this RVM foundation either in a months time,a weak's time or a days time. because of his harassment towards girls and there salaries are on hold. Keeping God infront this is a dirty job he does.one day he will be answerable to God. He says he want to go for Talaash aboard with girls and says he is going for coaching guess u all working there know what is his purpose to Travel for this Talaash. Please do visit RVM foundation complains on google Please email me on the same I'd with your views. HI KEN, RVM IS THE OWNER OF THIS SHIVA TEMPLE PEOPLE ARE WONDERING WHERE THIS MONEY IS GOING. GODLY BUSINESS IT IS GOING TO GIRLS WHO SLEEP WITH HIM
