It is a business
I agree with your thoughts. It is not a temple but a pure business venture. People should not go there for praying. But one can visit the place to see the magnificent statues of Lord Shiva and Ganesa, which are truly a master peice work.

Noise and commerical
Yesterday I went to KempFort to see Lord Shiva\'s Statue because my relatives has come first time to bangalore. I have visited 5 times before. When I entered inside the way to Kempfort, there is a big Q and It has taken 1 hour to reach Vinayaka Statue. Initially I thought the crowd is because of Weekend. After Ganesha, There is a ticket counter to visit Lord Shiva. The situation is like mandatorily you need to buy the ticket. I asked in the ticket counter employee you havn\'t mentioned any where in the entrance. They given some non-sense response. Finally forcibly I bought the ticket and entered the place, its full of noice because of big loud speaker and one group singing the bhajans. Devotees come to temple means for fresh mind and peace of calmness. These 2 are not there now a days in Kempfort. Previous times I used to sit infront of Shiva about 30 minutes but yesterday Its really pain for me to sit atleast 2 minutes. Now in my opinion please dont visit the Kempfort now a days. Its pakka commerical. You can see Lord Shiva from Photos or just outside and pray him.

GODLY BUSINESS & FAIR PRACTICE
Creating a loud atmosphere in the name of God is not a fair practice for people who live in the vicinity. I gather this temple even though it might be magnificent to look at but in reality it is a business venture ! Hope the government will regulate these so called "Godly businesses".

Hi, i visited Shiva temple at Kempfort, bangalore at about 9.30 P.M on a Monday after my shopping in Total Mall. The temple looks awesome. But I was surprised to see the temple Bhajans are at full swing, that too very loudly. I want to request the concerned authorities to have some concern over ailing people, other religious sects, and students who are preparing for examination so that it does not hurt them in anyway. Otherwise, the temple is very beautiful.

I am glad things are changing
Hi Rana, Thank you for the comment. I am an Indian myself and I wrote that article many years ago. At that time it was like what I have mentioned but if things are improving for the better then I am really glad. regards, ken

Your comment about no Indian women outside after 6 pm seems to indicate that you may not have visited any metropolitan city. I suggest you do that before publishing a blog with wrong information. Whether you are Indian or not is not the issue. Publishing wrong information is. You seem to think that only Bangalore has a night life worth mentioning. My friend, maybe you should travel more and broaden your horizons. The dowry and other aspects that you speak about exist, but is on the decrease particularly in urban India, as awareness and casting off of old negative customs happen. You seem to have travelled only among rural areas in India, so get your facts straight and travel more before misinforming others.

NOT SURE
I am not sure really. London to Bangalore is a direct flight. Then going back you will, probably have to get Bangalore to Delhi and from there another flight to Punjab. regards, ken
