Hiya travelblog lovers! =) We hope you all have had a really nice Christmas. Now we're back in a cold and dark Gothenburg. We're not too sad about it though since we have missed all our friends, family, sushi and salt liquorice just to mention some things. And we have had a really nice traditional Christmas too :) But if you are curious to find out what we were up to the last two weeks of our trip, keep reading... To go from Zambia to Tanzania we were ready to take a 48-hour train journey which we were not looking forward to. Getting to the train station we just had a 2,5 hour bus ride. It might sound strange, but the train was nothing compared to the bus ride. We thought that arriving to the bus ... read more

Jambo! We are now enjoying the last 10 days of our incredible journey to all these wonderful places. We can't complain when we get to spend the end of it on Zanzibar! :) As you have to wait for the photos of the gorgeous beaches (we don't want to make you guys sitting at home in the rain too jealous) we've spent some of our time at the beach reflecting on some of the less favourable things about backpacking. We have loved travelling like this, but getting towards the end we are starting to long for clean clothes etc. In true Facebook spirit we have created a little list with things that we think gives some idea about how it sometimes is to be a backpacker. You are more than welcome to help us add some ... read more

Hello everybody!! Hope you are all good and healthy :) We are back in Lusaka after 3 weeks in Livingstone. It was heartbreaking to say goodbye to our kids last Friday. After making party hats and playing football everyone gathered in the classroom again and our kids sang a song in Nyanja and read us a poem. After a lot of hugging we left the school crying. And it wasn't just our kids that we had to say goodbye to but also our volunteer friends from Northern Ireland and England, Lois and Grainne, and our Zambian friends Obert, Ozzy, Tyson and the lovely staff at Jollyboys. After a lot of goodbyes of different sorts during just a few days we felt a bit down. We therefore thought the only thing that could cheer us up again ... read more

Mulibwanji!? (How are you, in Nyanja) We are not the best at keeping this blog updated, but we hope you have patience with us and we will try to give faster news during these last few weeks of our amazing trip! We have now reached the Africa part of our travels, and are currently in Zambia. To be more specific we are in a small place called Livingstone, only a few kilometres from the Victoria Falls. Before making the long travel here from South America we enjoyed two weeks in Brazil, spending most of our time in Rio. We love this city and so many things about it: the people, the food, the night life, the beaches, and all the activities you could choose from. Since the weather was a bit unstable for about a week ... read more

We have also tried to upload some films, however not sure if it works to watch them?? We know some of you are not used to this site, but you can all leave comments just as in any other travel blog or "resedagbok". It is always appreciated! :) Will try to give you more news soon, next time will probably be in Africa though! Hugs and kisses PS. Hearing from back home that you have had temperatures like -5 in the morning, we can cheer you up and say that in Rio it has been raining the last few days. A LOT!... read more

Oi todos!! Hope you are all well and happy! After 32 hour on planes, different airports and buses we recently arrived to Rio de Janeiro from Cuba. A LOT have happend since last time we wrote so we´ll have to give you the short version. We will at least try! Back to Jamaica. Before we left lovely Port Antonio we went on a rafting tour on Rio Grande, slow and peaceful but very nice. It would have been very romantic with a partner :) After a few hour in the packed sweaty local bus (where you litterally got very close to the locals), we setteled down in Ocho Rios for one night. We spent the night out and went to the beach the day after with some swedish guys that we met at our guesthouse. The ... read more

Hiya everyone! We have now left the wonderful Mexico to continue our travels to new countries. The last week was spent on the Yucatan peninsular which meant more sun and beach life than the previous weeks. We spent two days in Cancun before heading to Playa del Carmen which lies about an hour south. Cancun had really nice beaches, and we enjoyed our stay at the Mayan hostel, which more looked like a big hut than anything else. The resort however felt very touristy as a change from the other cities we had visited so far in Mexico, and that is why we chose to move on quite quickly. Playa del Carmen felt quieter than Cancun since there were mostly pedestrian streets and not as many crazy salespeople chasing you all the time. We found a ... read more

Hola amigos!! We know that many of you have been longing for our first update =) Well, here it is... We started our trip almost 2 weeks ago in Mexico City!! Spent a few days at the cool Hostel Amigo. Walked around the big park and old beautiful buildings and enjoyed tacos and som tequila. At our hostel we met Juan who was born in Houston by his mexican parents. Together with him, his brother Rodrigez, sister Sandra and cousin Omar we took the bus to a small remote village in the mountains called Luvianos to celebrate their grandfathers 74th birthday :) Lots of good traditional mexican food, tequila and a lot of mexican-style-dancing and singing made it a great experience! When we returned to mexico city we made a daytrip to an aztec-city and the ... read more
