For something greener, try something "Rain-ier"
Just because we can't always dedicate solid weeks and months to extended journeys doesn't mean the discoveries have to stop! After we settled down in Seattle, we started exploring the wilderness we call our backyard. Mountains, dessert, forests and an ocean are merely hours away, depending on which way you drive with weekends and week-long vacations provided ample opportunity to venture a little further. We don't have much time to get away due to work schedules, but when the weather is good we're usually heading somewhere.
