After we settled down in Seattle, we started exploring the wilderness we call our backyard. Mountains, dessert, forests and an ocean are merely hours away, depending on which way you drive. We don't have much time to get away due to work schedules, but when the weather is good we're usually taking a day-trip somewhere in the Pacific Northwest.
