Great photo of the roses, err, tulips
I actually came by your website because of the great picture at the top, mainly because I have been trying to take some photos my child smelling roses (http://www.dailyvowelmovements.blogspot.com/2011/12/stop-and-smell-roses.html). Anyway, great photo.

We are pleased to see you blog again.
It has been a long time since you've published. We've missed your blogs. You make us long for the Northwest....although we must admit we are having a grand time in Northern California. Sometimes one needs to sit quietly and watch the world unfold. Great blog!

Still not going.
You covered the 7 deadliest sins nicely. I have no interest in going to Las Vegas for the reasons you pointed out...but I have been there. As a child when my parents went to an Elvis concert. Still I loved your prospective on it. Thanks!

Castle ROCK CAMPGROUND just read your comments on the campground my wife and I just returned from a fact finding trip there we live only 2 hours from the black Hills and spend our extra time checking out all the camping places and slghts in the hills. we to found the drive to the park very trying and adventureous and we were driving a full size four wheel drive. Your comments of the restrooms were confirmed by us and a couple of the local campers that were going to file complains to the forest service. the only advantage to talking to the older gent there is that he directed us to the other route out which is quicker and a whole lot easier to drive out. this will be our next trips in route for sure. I can concur with the agrivating four wheeler atvs. noise fumes and totaldisrepect for the public and the property. hope that glorious drive thru spearfish canyon made you feel better.

Thanks for the correction Garrett! And here was thinking that since Victoria was the capital of B.C, and Canada has a parliament, then the provincial government building would naturally be called the Parliament building - glad to have the proper terminology now and for the future. As far as cameras, I don't have anything fancy. Some of the photos were shot with a Sony DSC W290 point/click and the rest with a Pentax K100D. The Sony's a great little pocket camera with a few logistical shortcomings (good to short trips, not so good for long travel unless you have amble access to an electrical outlet), and the Pentax is build like a rock but getting pretty old as far as camera technology goes.

Glad to see you had a good time in our country of the north. But for the record, that building you refer to as parliament is the Legislastive Building. Parliament is in Ottawa, each provincial capital has a legaslative building. Also, you've got yourself some fine photos, what are you shooting with?

Tulips Photo
Hello Stephanie and Andras, My fiancée loves purple tulips! So, when it came time this weekend to make the wedding invitations, I wanted that theme in the invitation. I love your photo here, and assuming you don't mind, will incorporate it into our invitations. If it were my photo, I'd love to know that someone thought it was that good, so - here I am. Telling you I think it's that good! Nathan.

Folly and fun!
Great to read your Las Vegas account - we've visited the place a couple of times so know what you're talking about. Should you be visiting Australia on your future travels it would be great to get together for a chat and a beverage - do let me know. We're in Japan at the moment but back home on 11 November. Cheers!
