We are 2 sisters, I am Stefanie the oldest of the 2 at 25 ,and Joanna who is 24.
We both always liked to travel and, this is basically an implementation of our dream travels, we both have some " I have to go there" places.
So we are mostly backpacking during the trip starting from Latin America and then moving to the Kiwis and Oz before we end it in Asia.

Technically these experiences should have had their own post but I'm going to Put them all into one. Malacca Malacca was the next destination after Singapore. Ruben recommendedthis destination and because we trust him we decided to go. So We decided to leave pretty early to get an early bus do that we would have time to visit the city and then continue to KL , what we didMott expect is that the day before last to have had an earthquake and tsunami warnings. Due to that there were not many people travelling so there would onlhave one bus!!! Until we found thegodforsaken station which is not even a station but asparking place- everyone we asked directed us somewhere else! We finally reach the station, see our bus, but no driver, he must have been sleeping ... read more

One of the best ways to view a city- at least on an introductory level is a city tour. Its kind of weird spending Easter (Orthodox) touring a city but hey, its an experience. It started really early, meaning that at 8 :45 we were picked up and ready to go. Mr Fong our guide picked us up, an after a short stop to registrate, we begam the tour. First stop was at a chinese temple. In Malaysia they are mainly Muslims, Hindu, and Chinese, so you see all of these influences throughout- our hostel is surrounded by all those temples of the above religions. To continue the description of the tour, we have been introduced to certain ceremonies, first being that we had to take off your shoes. We went inside the temple which was amazing, ... read more

In one day we got from Auckland to Sydney and from there to Melbourne!! For me and Joanna it was not that weird as we had done it a lot of times already! I understand Kikis excitement, it was a dream trip there in Australia and it became reality. It was all good, lovely airports no big hassle, just with jet star not being able to check us in before a certain time because as a traveller u want that part over and done with! I found the hunger games and bought the book to read during the flight! An amazing book I have to say. The flight to Melbourne was in Avalon , somewhere outside from where u can take a bus to the actual Melbourne, small airport with 3 gates, but if they cater ... read more

We arrived in Auckland a bit early, we were waitgnt for our host to pickups up, it was our first time as couch surfers. After leaving wonderful Brasil having a dramatic exit ofcourse, because of our beloved airlines LAN we made it to Chile. Our luck in travelling sometimes sucks... especially if we are flying with LAN and changing country or if Sao Paulo is involved. First we had a delay of 10 mins on our flight from Foz de Iquassu to Sao Paulo. By the time we landed, got our bags etc it was 8:15 and our next plane was departing at 9:20... So far so good still time to make it.. yeah!!! We proceeded to check in, for our good luck, there was no line. But no... The attendant said she couldn t find us on the system, although we showed her our reservation... We had to go to the LAN office and find out what was happening, ... read more

Rio de Janeiro.I love this city:) A visit in Rio cannot be completed without a visit to the top attractions in Rio. The Christ, the Sugarloaf, the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Sellaron Steps, and lets not forget the Santa Teresa neighborhood. I need to say this, before i start writing about the sights. We had a camera, joanna fell of the horse-result the camera is malfunctioning, bought a new smaller one, charged it but forgot toput amemory card in. Great start to the Tour, we realised that on the way to the Christ, but thank god to some really nice Irish girls:) So we picked up all of the passengers which were mostly Irish and Scottish, we had 2 Argentinians one New Yorker and one native Brazilian grl.Wemade our way to Corcovado which is where the Christ is, a sculpture made ... read more

First let me tell you that both stef and me totally fell for Rio at first sight. We arrived at 22:00 hrs but even in the dark, peeking from a taxi window the city of Rio de Janeiro looks fabulous. After spending some time here we decided we want to move to Rio the soonest possible... Carnaval -Sambodromo Monday morning, we decided that our visit in Rio would be incomplete without going to the sambodromo, so we made our way to El Misti Botafogo to get our tickets, the two last ones our hostel had. On Monday it wasn´t Group A Sampa schools but it was the Special Group that counts as similar level. The parade started at 21:25. We made our way there first taking the metro and then we walked. The good thing about ... read more

Ash Thursday and we are in Salvador. Our first hours in Salvador though were spent in the airport because we had to make up for the money we spent to take a taxi, to switch airport in Sao Paulo, not to miss our flight. Early morning we took the bus and went to our hostel a small cute place with the most likeable staff. We couldn´t check in untill 1 so we went to Barra Shopping to spent more money. When we have finally checked in and started making our beds, Justine and Kiki entered the room and informed us about Carnaval happenings. We decided we were going to do Camarote with them so we went out again to get the money. Stef and me slept for a while coz we didn´t sleep enough at the ... read more

We arrived at the airposr and our guide Julinho was there to greet us. I dont know how they do it but some of our guides so far have recognised us at the airport immediately. Maybeit is because we look like gringos... Anw he took us at pur hotel for the night and the next morning he picked us up to start our journey in the Pantanal. Pantanal is an amazing area very different to the Amazon, though some animals can live in both environments. Pantanal is a biosphere subdivided in 11 microspheres. It is very open very flat and it is easier to spot the animals. The particular area we visited and the timing weren´t ideal to encounter wild cats or jaguars but we have encountered many other species. Orange whistling ducks, black-collared hawk, another ... read more
