Destination:Philadelphia, PA:March 16-17 After seeing grandma Susan off to the airport to catch her flight home to Colorado, Ty went to get us our final minivan rental as I finalized our packing. Yesterday was cold and rainy, today was suppose to bring snow and havoc to the city, so we thought it best to make our way to Washington DC. Another fine minivan held all of our luggage, all 6 of us and came nicely equipped with a navigational system. It took us quite a while just to get out of the city. As we drove through a small portion of New Jersey the weather continued to get worse which slowed traffic way down. Lola our navigational system had us going in the right direction. It was now sleeting heavily and the roads were very ... read more

SEUFER6: DESTINATION: BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTES Monday, March 5, 2007 This morning we packed up 3 suitcases loaded them in the minivan and made the journey to the big beautiful city of Boston. The drive was only about 1 hour. We will be staying at the Hyatt Hotel in downtown Boston for 2 nights and at a nice bed and breakfast for 2 nights in the north end. My dad drove us all the way into Boston, followed his map and got us nicely to our hotel. Our room wasn't quite ready, so the bellman held our luggage while we walked to a nice tavern for some lunch. After lunch we were going to walk to the park, but it was too cold for Lilly, so we headed back to our hotel where our room was ready. My ... read more

DESTINATION: NEWPORT, RHODE ISLAND--SEUFER6 Thursday, March 1, 2007 Today we woke up to a gorgeous day here in Newport. Probably the nicest day since we got here. Jessica and Tanner did a couple of hours of school work while the rest of us busied ourselves with getting ready for the day. 2 hours later we loaded the minivan with sweatshirts, sandwiches, waters and various snacks, we decided to take full advantage of this beautiful day and drive to Cape Cod, Massachusetts's. The drive was gorgeous and relaxing. We made it to what is called the Upper Cape in about 50 minutes. We drove into a small town and went to the first beach we saw. This kids were hungry and anxious to see the beach. After walking around, we found an area out of the cool ... read more

SEUFER6: DESTINATION: NEWPORT, RHODE ISLAND & MYSTIC CONNECTICUT Monday-February 26-Friday March 2, 2007 MONDAY, FEBRUARY 26, 2007 Today we woke up to 3-4 inches of snow. It snowed most of the morning. Jessica and Tanner needed to get caught up on school work so we decided to make it a stay home day. Boy they worked hard most of the day, so we decided to reward them by dropping them off at the game room in the clubhouse to play while Lilly and Emma had a nap. They played there for 2 hours and seemed to have fun. After they got home we decided to rent some movies and have pizza. The kids enjoyed the movie Lassie, while Ty and I watched an adult movie called Little Miss Sunshine. We had a nice family day. TUESDAY, ... read more

SEUFER6: DESTINATION: NEWPORT RHODE ISLAND & MYSTIC CONNECTICUT WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 21, 2007 Just getting home on Sunday, it was hard to believe we were all packed and ready to conquer the east coast. We had a busy 2 1/2 days in Colorado. Our nanny, Becca, stayed with us again, which made it so much easier. On Monday I headed down to Canon City for the day to check up on my parents, where my mom is recovering from hip surgery and my dad is dealing with radiation seeds for his cancer, so it was time for a visit. They are amazing and both doing just great. Since there was no school on Monday, Jessica had a fun day with her girlfriends and a couple guy friends. They went to the mall, played lazer tag, enjoyed an ... read more

SEUFER6: DESTINATION: SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA The next 6 days basically consisted of getting up and exercising, enjoying the continental breakfast, school work, hot tubbing, lots of swimming, an occassional hike and going out to dinner. We enjoyed the easy life for the last 6 days. Some highlights are listed below. On Tuesday, February 13, after our usual morning routine of working out, eating breakfast at the clubhouse, we all got ready, loaded up in the minivan and headed to Casa Grande, Arizona, back to the first RV park (Casita Verde) we stayed at while we had the motor home. We were there to look at a park model that is for sale for Grandma and Grandpa Bufmack. After talking at length with the owners, we decided this would be a great investment for grandma and grandpa, signed ... read more

Seufer 6: Destination: Scottsdale, Arizona: February 9-18, 2007 Friday, February, 9, 2007 After a restful nights sleep, Team Seufer camp motor home was up and at 'em early, getting the motor home ready to move toward Phoenix. This was the first morning in a long time that we were up before 7:00am let alone 8:00. Ty wanted to be on the road early and into Scottsdale by 10:30ish. Today we will return the motor home to Mesa. We managed to stop at Tanner's dream breakfast place, McDonalds. Our final decent into Scottsdale went relatively smooth. We pulled the big rig into the beautiful Rocks Club, which is where we will be staying for the remainder of this AZ trip. Since our villa was not ready, we unloaded all of our luggage and sovenires from the motor ... read more

Seufer6: Destination: Grand Canyon Wednesday, February 7, 2007 We headed north to the Grand Canyon from Sedona, we drove on highway 89 through Oak Creek Canyon, which is one of the most scenic and beautiful drives in America. It was quite steep with lots of switch backs, this is a road not recommended for an RV over 50 ft. but Ty, the master motorhome driver, made it seem like we were on a smooth sailing ship. We went on into Kachina Village and through the outskirts of Flagstaff. Merged onto road 180 which took us through the San Francisco Peaks, where there is actually skiing. Funny to think of skiing in Arizona, but after building a snowman yesterday, it is true. From highway 180 we ran into road 64 which took us up to a little ... read more

Seufer6: Destination: Globe and Sedona, Arizona Monday, February 5, 2007 Bisbee, Arizona proved to be a unique, interesting and fun little town. After our amazingly informative Queen Mine tour, it was after 2:00pm and we needed to get the motorhome packed up, on the road and to a campground by dark. On to the I-80, then onto the I-10 through Tucson, onto to I-77, north we were heading toward Sedona. Since it was getting late, we knew we would never make it all the way, so we decided to stop in a small town along the way for a quick dinner, then to find a campground. None to be found in this small town, so off we went another hours drive into the town of Globe. It was pitch black when we pulled the motorhome into ... read more

Seufer6: Destination: Bisbee, Arizona Sunday, February 5, 2007 After another great nights rest, we were up early. Ty and I went on a long brisk early morning walk and scoped out Tombstone's breakfast selections. For some reason we were hungry for a good greasy spoon breakfast. Meanwhile, the kids we at the motorhome, cleaning up and getting ready for the day. When we found a little place called O.K. Cafe, we called the kids and had them meet us there. We enjoyed a good small town yummy greasy breakfast. Jessica and Tanner wanted to go exploring on their own, so off they went to browse the shops. One block from our park was a quaint little church, so I headed back to the RV to get ready, while Ty checked Emma and Lilly into the church ... read more
