After my short pit stop in Buenos Aires I was off to Peru to meet up with Luis Vasquez, a once proffesional Surfer and currently a Board maker and surf instructor. Well, I sure had a lot of first on this leg of the journey. The destination Salvador, Brazil for the Biggest party in the world. CARNAVAL. WIth over 2 million people in the streets at once with every race and class you can imagine what could happen and it sure did. Like I said a lot of first time experiences for me on this oen such as. Here I am back in BA for 4 days of relaxation and being a normal tourist for awhile as I travel around BA and check out what I missed before. I had a pretty good but low key 5 days in town here with one major highlight and probably the best night out on the whole trip. I got in from Ushuaia at like 2 in the morning on sunday and then had a cab drive me around to like 5 hotels to get a room. I left you all at Rio Gallegos which was the end of my travels in Tatoo and a sad time in giving her back to the airport. Renting a Ford Tatoo for 25 Days....1200.00, 275 Litres of Super Gasoline.... 150.00, Repairing 7 Flat tires...... 200.00, 9 nights lodging in Hotel Ford Tatoo....Free, getting ripped off for a used jug to put spare fuel in 5.00, Driving 1400 Kilometers down route 40 on the worst gravel roads you can imagine with 60 mph winds, in the middle of nowhere, and with 3 isreali soldiers packed in the tatoo with all there luggage like sardines.....the experience...priceless I dont even know where to start on this one. Well, here I am in a town of about 100 people on the only computer in town attempting to put this blog together. Im sorry for the lack of pics on this one. Entonces. (so in spanish) I left mendoza around 900 on wed night and hopped on a two level bus on my way to Neoquen. These buses down here are no greyhound. They are luxury for a bus. We had a nice dinner and then I managed to instantly fall asleep. When I awoke we were already in Neoquen after a 12 hr journey. My last couple days in Mendoza have been full of action. Exactly how I like things. I just cant stand getting caught in the lazy days of vacation where you do absolutly nothing.
