| 23rd February 2007 Reedo | Heres what I know - From: Hasta Lavista to Buenos Aires....at least for now In buenos aires there are many things you can do but it all depends on what you like. Recoleta cemetary, the theatres, tigre which is the city at the start of a huge delta north of there. Iguazu falls is a short plane ride, mendoza which is the wine capital of argentina and has good whitewater rafting, you might be able to get pretty cheap flights at the aerolineas argentina offices and be able to go anywhere you want in argentina for around 100 bucks if so I would check our los glaciers national park and ushuaia. There is a good market in san telmo in sundays that is pretty neat too. The city is great and youll end up wanting to stay a lot longer than 6 weeks. Everyone does and cant explain why. Check out other travel blogs and by the argentina rough guide for more info. Also as far as the spanish school I would only sign up for one week at a time and if you really want to learn it find a private teacher outside of one of the spanish schools. It should be around 10 bucks a hour but youll learn a lot faster and at your pace and not the classes. |
