Well after a disappointing announcement this morning (our para sailing was canceled due to high winds) we decided to stay aboard ship. With most of the guests on shore we had the pools, decks, food all to ourselves. The day was mostly sunny so took advantage of some time to sit in the sunshine. We all have a bit of a burn, not to much. We will check with the excursion desk to see if we can reschedule the para sailing once we get to Cozumel. Paul, Ed and I had some fun on the water slide (salt water). We will get Lee on it before the end of the trip. Last night we did a conga dance in the dining room with the wait staff, who are incredibly nice. I will get some pictures of ... read more

Day 2 Jamaica Finally after a rough day at sea we are in calmer waters. Woke up at about 7:00 a.m. and saw land. We were in for an adventure today. Up close and personal with dolphins and then the climb up Dunn River Falls. We had an hour to kill before our dolphin adventure so took a walk on the beach. The waves were beautiful as was the color of the water. Unfortunately we were not allowed to take pictures with the dolphins; the handlers took pictures for you and then wanted to sell them, 4 for 20 bucks. But the encounter was awesome. The 4 of us got soaked but got to touch and kiss the dolphins and watch them do tricks in the water. I have attached some pictures that I was able ... read more

Off the coast somewhere....... Day 1 at sea was a trip. It was so windy they had to close the upper levels of the outside decks. I think they thought people would be blown off the ship, not that anyone would have wanted to be up there. It was not only windy but quite chilly. The lower decks were wall to wall people so it was hard to find a chair were you could sit and soak up some sun. Alas we finally did but had to stay covered up due to the chilly temps. Got some reading in though which was a good thing. Last night was the formal Captain’s dinner. People were dressed in elegance however the ship was rocking so much from the rough seas that it was hard to stay upright (especially ... read more

After waiting at the airport for what seemed like an eternity we finally made it to Florida. Hoped a bus for Port Miami. Bus ride was a trip. There was a women that was the most obnoxious women we have ever been around. Luckily the trip was just 30 minutes. When pulling into Port Miami you could see several ships, some with climbing walls some with water slides. Huge floating cities. Pulled up to the gate and was greeted by very friendly porters to take our luggage. So far so good. Finding Lee and Ed was a little difficult but finally connected at about 3:00. 3:45 started the abandon ship drill, I have included a pic of lee and I in our life vest garb. Felt much safer after the drill. Got back to the room ... read more
