HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!! I have been in Oz a month so far and what have we done....well we arrived in Sydney on the 10th of Dec...what a warm welcome...not, especially not after the 5 star service you receive in NZ, makes you remember what a nig city is like...however I knew we would love it really, was just a snotty shuttle driver...so we arrived in Base on Kent street in Sydney, smack bang in the centre of everything, a short walk to the QVB building and all the main shops :-) and a short walk to Circular key, and the rocks, the area which holds the opera house and the harbour bridge...loved the rocks, my favourite part of Sydney!! While we were in Sydney we climbed the Harbour bridge at twilight, this was just amazing such ... read more

I arrived in Sydney on the 10th of December...it is a great city and I am so happy to be back here, I love it, and forgot how much I did love it when I was here before!!! It is a lot busier than New Zealand and is a shock to arrive in a city from the country that has the same population altogether than London alone!! But I love the busy atmosophere of Sydney!! When we arrived we walked to the Rocks and to the harbour bridge, spent the day sorting out the important things like mobile numbers and working visas! We met a ... read more

We arrived in New Zealand on the 10th of November in rainy Auckland, which is a nice city but compared to others not a favourite of mine. We took a boat trip over to an island called Devonport, where we saw about 10 people, just no people in New Zealand. We stayed in Auckland for 2 ... read more

We have left Equador now and crossed the border into Peru, it is 8pm on Monday 8th of September and our 3rd night in Peru. Our last night in Ecuador was fantastic, Manuel, our tour leader has been attempting to teach us Salsa...well basic steps...so for our last night he took us out for dinner and to a salsa bar...this is all in the same evening that we had to get up at 3am to travel from Ecuador to Peru!!!The bar was called Eucalyptus, and it was brilliant, about 4 bottles of Red wine later and cocktails we were all rather merry and dancing our rendition of the Salsa Manuel had been teaching us!!Well we dominated the dancefloor for a while until the locals decided to show us how it was done, when done properly this ... read more

.....so it is Friday 4th of September and we have been here for 8 days, over the last couple of days not too much has happened, we travelled yesterday for around 9 hours on a coach from Banos to Cuenca...Cuenca is the 3rd largest city in Ecuador and has a lot of historical buildings and pretty churches. We walked around tody had a look at the town! Some of the buildings reminded me of being in Paris and visiting the Notre dame. Unfortunatley a lot of the places we visited seemed to be closed, but we still got a good mornings activity out of walking around discovering things for ourselves! We are back at our hotel now, so just packing before our coach journey tomorrow (we leave at 3am in the morning after a night of ... read more

Hey hey hey everyone....just a quick message to let you all know I am here safe and sound!! We arrived in Quito in Ecuador around 2 pm today, only took us three flights with a stop over in Miami (Which I can say I am not a huge fan of) to get here, but we made it in one piece!! We have a lovely hotel where we are meeting the rest of our group at 6.30 this evening to have some dinner and a few drinks to meet everyone!! Tomorrow we are heading to a place called Tena where we will start to make our way into the Amazon!! The weather is lovely and people seem friendly...but still keeping safe!! I am about to head back to the hostel now to get ready for this evenings ... read more
