We're back. Here was everything thanking their lucky stars that we made it to the end of our trip and back to Vancouver safe and sound. No more blogs to endure - hah!!!, we've enjoyed writing them so much that we've decided to keep them up. After all, they are such a good way to share even more adventures with friends and family who are dotted the world over. So, we made it safely back to Vancouver on November 25th 2005. Oh, SORRY. We've not been very good lately. We left India on October 3rd but have been so lazy since then, that the thought on sitting at a computer for 5 hours wasn't too appealing. However, we can't leave our journey hanging just at the end - so on a huge effort of will and endurance, here we are. We left India with many thoughts and dreams. Phew!!! We did it. Survived ten and a half weeks in India and came out with no Delhi Belly and relatively unscathed. The travelling scars are quickly fading and we have huge smiles on our faces after arriving back in Thailand and getting Thai curries again. We've been dreaming about them for the last month or so. From Rajasthan, we started the long - very long - journey right down the whole of the West Coast to Kanniyakamuri on India's Southern tip. Definitely an adventure. When last you heard from your intrepid travellers they were beating their way through hordes of touts and taxi drivers in Agra. After seeing the Taj Mahal and getting out of Agra unscathed we headed for the city of Jaipur. The third stop on India's golden triangle tourist trail. Again we were waylaid upon arrival by taxi drivers desperate for commissions but by now we were developing hides of thick leather in our dealings with them. Well helllloooooooooooooo....... I wasn't expecting us to have a new travelblog so soon after our last, but here we are. We have just spent five days in Delhi and Agra and have taken so many photos that we decided that we would share some with you. One thing I can tell you is that both Delhi and Agra were complete chaos - just on different levels. Delhi has around 10 million people living there whilst Agra has around 1 million. It may have been soft but not without a lot of pain. After swilling far too many beers with Will and Sophie et al. in Bangkok we got up bleary-eyed with throbbing heads and late for the airport to catch our long awaited flight to India. We need not have hurried. Within minutes of getting in the cab we hit the dreaded Bangkok traffic. At 8am it took more than an hour just to get to the airport expressway. Woo hoo, woo hoo, woo hoo!!!!! After seven months of traveling we were finally heading to Malaysia and Kuala Lumpur. Next stop Bali. No bombs just peace, tranquility and free luxury accommodation for a week. We finally got to cash in on that timeshare presentation we sat through back in February. We were on Koh Samui at the time, wandering around minding our own business when we were accosted by two overly friendly Thais who wanted to make our day. I think it was the AK-47 bulging out of the guy's shirt that tipped us off. Things aren't quite what they seem. We were headed to Vang Vieng in Laos. Riding on a minibus careening up and down the jungle covered mountains along roads that are barely wide enough for a bus to negotiate the sharp curves let alone pass on a blind corner.
