The highlight of my day! It was great seeing all of you from Australia, sorry I couldn't be there in person. Looks like I missed out on an amazing day, including the chance to talk to Leslie about the Clone Wars animated series!
Phenomenal! I remember seeing the certificate about this proudly displayed at your apartment, and after reading this, it is something that I absolutely must do in my lifetime (not that I needed much more motivation after hearing your stories in person)!
Lovely blog How lovely to see the photos of you all, we are very proud of Ali, but as Ali says himself, its all you bloggers and such friendly moderators and Affandy, who make it such a brilliant site, nice to see all of you enjoying the sunshine - very cold and wet here in North Norfolk UK! Great that you've done a blog straight away, thank you very much, Bridget and Robert (Ali's mum and dad)

Wonderful stuff :) I looks like you all had a wonderful time Peter :) Dave is looking a bit red faced which no doubt means he has been on the plonk, although he will probably put it down to too much sun ;) Just as well I didn't come really. Mrs Cockle and I would of no doubt kept you all up into the early hours!!!
Great Blog! Great blog. I am planning to go to Sri Lanka to photograph leopards in 2013. Your blog was helpful. Thank you.

If you touch the ground in a country... it counts! I could see that you enjoyed 106 which is better than being upset over the delay. And forget about those who have wished you not so nice things lately.
:) It was great meeting you too Peter! I hope this will be the first of many encounters. I do hope that your life is starting to get back to normal too. Take care :) Bob: Apologies! I intend to make amends. I've been offline for 3 weeks due to certain, unforeseen circumstances.
I hear driving the 1 through Monterey and Big Sur area is incredibly dangerous but incredibly beautiful as well! I've only experienced driving this down in Southern California and you really can't beat that! Driving along the Pacific ocean with the windows down on a clear day is one of the best things you can do. I really like your pictures as well! Great shots, glad you guys had fun on your trip! I personally love driving the 1 in Santa Barbara. The most beautiful city with a ton of great things to do. Did you guys go there? If you ever plan on going back you should check out the South Coast Inn (www.goleta-hotel.com). Beautiful hotel with everything you could imagine!
travel blog birthday We thought we could offer cups of tea and cake to any bloggers in Norfolk on the big day - I could show them Alistair's baby photos ! Ali's mum and dad
Japanese food in KL! Japanese food in KL? I think that's a pretty good reason to head up that way. Oh, and getting to join the 10th birthday celebrations would be pretty good too ;-) Actually, I'm really excited about the trip :-) :-) Looking forward to meeting everyone!
Nick, I know you are reading this... you are way behind in writing your blogs about your Thailand trip. That's great that you were able to connect with P-A. And P-A, thanks for this blog. I hope to meet Ali someday. And also to celebrate TB's 10th. David and Merry Jo invited me to come to SF, but it's a bit of a distance. I will try to Skype them.
As for sorting things out... it sounds like bridges were burned. As a romantic, I always hope for the best, but sometimes that doesn't happen. Anyway, you've got your wonderful children who enjoy doing the same activities that you do. I look forward to reading about all the new adventures you will have with them.
Great trip I'm so jealous youve got your little ones out there diving with you! They look like theyre having a fantastic time!!! Can't wait until my two can swim better (or at all for the 1 yo lol!) and not sure i'll get them up to diving standards but just some snorkelling will certainly come in handy. Now you have to get their golf swings sorted :)
Sorry to hear about Mari, hope you can sort something out... tam
Sorry about your lost in your relationship. I wish you all the best and Mari too. She is a great girl and you both are really nice persons. I hope you'll be able to work it out one day. Take it easy and remember only for the good things. Give your children a big hug and make sure that they wont forget the past few years with both of you as a good memory. Eva
Getting around Denarau We will be spending 5 days at the Westin Denarau in March prior to our Blue Lagoon cruise. Would you recommend having a car during that time to get out and explore the area?? Any thoughts would be welcome. It's just the two of us on an anniversary trip......Thx!!
Hi I thought about renting a car and at the end of the day didn't do it and that was the good choice. There are plenty of taxis around and the local buses are really cheap and a good way to see the area. If you can switch from the Westin to Sheraton, try to do it, the Westin did look way older....even if their swimming pool did look a little better than the Sheraton one.
This blog is just short of 10 years old. We have now move to South Africa.
Why South Africa? Simple, great wine, great food, great golf and even more amazing diving! I will for once continue to blog from time to time about home. After all, this is just my fourth continent after having grow up in Europe, lived in Asia for twenty years, and even spent a full year living the life of Buenos Aires.
Come to visit....there is so much to do here! ... full info

It was a pleasure to host everyone for the party!
I had a lot of fun, completely exhausted by the end of the day - I think I slept as well as Tiffany!
